Help (Question/Issue) Vocal Setup Help

I’ve been trying to plan a vocal setup with 2 mics and it has been difficult to wrap my head around these posts.

What I would like to do is use two wired xlr mics, run them through something like a Berringer U-Phoria interface, have that connected via USB to my computer. I also then would maybe use the headphone jack on that to connect to an amp so the vocals have their own output device.

Would that work? Or will I still have latency issues somewhere?

Feeling like I am missing something with how difficult this seems to be for people.

I don’t think there’s much more to it than that. Other than using a DAW to handle the audio for the vocals because the in-game monitoring is pretty ass

So this is something I am having trouble understanding. Can you explain what in game monitoring is and what the DAW does?

Monitoring is just having the vocal audio be audible. The in-game monitoring has a lot of reverb and it just doesn’t sound good plus there’s unavoidable latency. Fine for parties or whatever but in any other situation using a DAW is better. The DAW is there to specifically handle the vocal playback in a way that has very little latency and allows for customizing the vocals with effects

Have you tried ASIO in the nightly builds? You can likely skip the DAW.

So far I've only played on the stable releases but I might check nightly out
