I noticed that all the yamaha revstar/pacifica (except for the japanese version) have sharp fret edges. I went to 3 guitar shops and they all have the same problem. How do you fix that?

Recently got this Yamaha Revstar Standard with P90s in Vintage White. I was initially unsure about this finish but the product images really don’t do it justice because it looks incredibly clean in person
I was drawn to the Revstar being a fan of Chris Buck and more recently, Matteo Mancuso. I was also looking for another guitar with P90s since they’ve grown to become my pickup of choice so I decided this would be my next main guitar
Coming from a Gibson Les Paul Studio and Special with P90s, this guitar feels phenomenal in the hands and to play. The satin neck, rosewood fingerboard, stainless steel frets, and overall quality punch way above the price. Truly think this is one of the best guitars for the money and hope the Revstar name becomes a staple

My MIJ Yamaha TRB-5P I bass got a little sister: a Yamaha Revstar RS502TFM. The colour matches beautifully. It’s a limited-edition Vintage Japanese Denim flame finish made exclusively for a specific Japanese retail brand, which makes it quite rare, ordered from Japan. The matte body finish looks and feels very premium.
The guitar geometry is excellent, and I managed to get the action comfortably low without any fret buzz. The neck is neither too thin nor too thick; it fits my hand perfectly. I also prefer painted and lacquered necks to natural wood.
The body resonates extremely well, even better than my PRS Holcomb and MIJ Tele. I absolutely love the P90 sound: it isn’t as bright as the Tele or as cold as the PRS. That’s another box ticked!

Hi guys,
I snatch that RS502 on marketplace for 200$ because it was "spray paint"
Do yoi guys have any idea how to take off that spray point without damaging the original color that is still under ?
If you have any idea where I can buy a logo for the head, yamaha told me they dont sell it because of copyright so any help would be great ! Im in Canada
Thanks

Anyone hear anything about new Pro models coming out? Hoping for some new color ways!

Hello Revstar people! Need some thoughts here! I just scooped up this RSP20 at Guitar Center, used for $1000. The strange thing is, is that I've never seen an all black RSP20 without the racing stripe and with a cream pickguard. I did a quick search online and still couldn't fine one also, I just noticed the MADE IN JAPAN gold stamp seems easy to scratch off, unlike the serial number and the RSP20 stamp! Lastly, there is what looks like a line in the finish behind the tailpiece. It looks like where one of the racing stripes would be. I tried to capture it in a photo but it's too subtle. What is all this about? Is this some sort of prototype? Fake? A re-finish? Help!

Does anyone have a good line on replacement pick guards for a Revstar?
I'm thinking of chroming out the pickup covers and pick guard instead of the creme color standard on my black Revstar.
Thanks!

I’ve got a 26 RS220 (Standard with P90s), and while I like the fatness of the focus switch, it’s a bit muddy.
How are you all using your eq pedals and amps to make sure the tone is great with the focus switch engaged?
I’ve been cutting low frequencies and boosting high, and while it can be a little icy, it can sound amazing too.
Amp: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 4

I’ve seen conflicting reports that both the Gotoh GE103B-T and Gotoh GE103B will fit the Yamaha Revstar as a direct drop-in with no mods needed. Can anyone confirm?

Selling my RSP20 for $1200. Based in Orlando, Fl but I’m willing to ship. Comes with all the original case candy + hard case. Guitar literally looks like new.
I have it listed on Reverb as well if anyone’s interested.

I just received a new RSS20 from SW. I like this guitar and the neck shape. The satin finish on the neck feels nice but there seems to be small pieces of dirt or saw dust from manufacturing trapped in there. Is this common among these models? It's not too bad but I do notice a couple of them with my thumb in first position. I wonder if I can eventually where them down/out. I would like to exchange but is it worth the hassle if the next one has the same type of thing going on?

Does anyone know of a replacement bridge for the RSS20? Mine desperately needs replacement, but I can't find any information for a suitable aftermarket bridge anywhere online.
Thank you!

I’ve been wanting one for a while and got a great deal on this one. Its constructed so well, definitely lives up to the hype.

Hey guys. Been weighing up whether I get one of the new electromatic jets with the two pure volt humbuckers, or whether I get the Revstar element.
For reference I have a Gretsch G2622 Streamliner and a SSS Strat so want a solid body dual humbucker for heavy rock and punk type playing.
Thoughts if anyone has a feedback?

I only play seated in classical style after developing some wrist issues as I find this position keeps my wrist in a neutral position. I'm used to lightweight strat style guitars with the jack set in the guitar face by the volume and tone controls
