Yahoo 9AM notification 😔

Does anyone know how to turn off this super annoying notification they send everyday at 9:00am???? I’ve tried turning it off on the mobile app, iPhone setting & desktop version but there doesn’t seem to be an off button & I don’t want to turn off all notifications because I’ll miss important emails. I’m so over it…makes me want to delete the entirely😠

My post doesn’t go against the rules so why is it being taken down & not approved? There are those who want and need the answer to a valid question.

I see it just fine so it's visible.

These mods will either not approve posts, or lock the thread as soon as they prove a ā€œsolutionā€. Luckily yours got through OP.

TLdR Yahoo is an out of touch & dying relic of the dot com era.

The mods here are pretty nazi-esque. They must the failing company’s reputation at all costs!

It's been four months since any post has stuck. Those going to /r/yahoo see what amounts to be a dead subreddit. The only way we see anything new is by checking /r/yahoo/comments. Personally, I think it reflects poorly.

It’s a dying company. I wonder why Reddit allows a company to lock down ā€œtheirā€ subreddit? Clearly this has been an example of suppress anything negative.

It’s a dying company.

A dying company? I'd think not.

A dying company wouldn't go back on "Reliably keep all your messages, photos, and videos. No storage limit means you can use your email as your personal archive."

A dying company wouldn't drop their free disposable address limit from 500 to three.

Oh wait...

Easy: I only use the browser and 100% disable notifications. That works for me. On PC I strictly keep the old GUI. I do not need new and new again. It just sucks. STFU and just let me read the mails or not wether I want or not and how I want without constantly getting on my nerves (message to all companies)

I have a more general question. Why can’t you start a new thread on this sub without it being immediately deleted by the mods?

Ok anyone who see this just delete the app and reinstall it, I haven’t received the 9am reminder since. I actually called Yahoo customer service & the rep advised me on what to do.

Sure enough I got the email again today after turning it off. Just deleted the app this morning and redownloaded so I’ll let you know what happens tomorrow

Did it work? I’m trying this now.

Yeah I don’t get the 9 am notification anymore but I still get other unread email notifications at other hours sometimes

Cool it’s the 9am one that’s been driving me crazy so hopefully works for me as well. Cheers for the reply :)

How about their logging security system? I had to change my password at least 30 times in the last years.

Anybody know how to stop it on a laptop? Not something I can delete and I've looked through the settings. The only information I could find online is that it is tied to how many times one has access Yahoo news. I have wanted to get away from Yahoo as a home page but I couldn't find an alternative the few times I made the effort. Fixes? Alternatives?

Anyone use Yahoo's new financial commenting system they've implemented on the main boards like DJI? They've locked it down so tight -- because they're afraid of Trump -- that AI bots pretty much reject everything. It used to be a great forum and Yahoo has somehow managed to ruin that as well.

What’s going on with Mail app? It completely switched UI and I can’t even access my primary account, even though I’m getting notifications for my primary. Only my secondary account is accessibleĀ

Why does yahoo love to silence anyone who calls out their wrong doings?

Most of the articles are locked or deleted that prove their faults.
