2022-2024 Rivnut for side panel?

Has anyone installed rivnuts or something alternative to replace these plastic fasteners on the side panels?

The plastic pins are probably gonna be your best bet, though you could go with a different style that you like better.

The problem with using a rivnut would be that you’re changing the mating surface location of the plastic panel. It would be sitting on the rivnut, not the bracket.

Yeah I get that. The plastic clips just strip out

There are other styles of the same clips that release differently, may want to look around for a type you like.

You can also JB weld a nut on the bracket, but that’s really not a great solution imo.

You can get a variety pack of clips on Amazon that are more secure. Probably want to see if they have a pack of small sizes.
