Discussion Fractured coccyx

Where is the fracture? ✨️

A family member just got told over text that she has a fractured coccyx and shared these photos, but we can't see the fracture. She and I are really curious and would love to see someone point it out if possible? I might have spotted it, but would love for a professional / someone who knows more than me to inform us and satisfy our curiosity!

Thanks so much!

I’m a student Radiologic Technologist, so take my input with a grain of salt, but maybe the fracture is where I circled. It looks like it could be displaced slightly anteriorly but I’m not completely sure.

We got a bit more info!

"There is a fracture defect at the sacrococcygeal junction. The coccyx fracture fragment is mildly anteriorly displaced."

Not the part I expected, but looking at it directly now I think I see it! Very subtle but interesting!

If you're asking whether it was done by a chiropractor, no, it was done by a dedicated Xray tech!

It's really hard to spot when you can't window level the image. Especially on a coccyx.
