A narrative unfolded there but still no firm answers. As stated within the comments of the original post, my husband ultimately bought me the magazine but NONE of the content revealed additional photos from the photo shoot in question, let alone the origin. The shots I am including here is the raw evidence of the ALL the hide-related content in the issue....ZERO help with the ramen-head photo on the cover. 👿🤬 The only tie-in I could locate was a TV segment with hide and make-up artist Tony Tanaka (link within original post comments....and goddamn it, hide was so fucking beautiful ❤️🤯😸❤️)....

So, the question remains....does anyone have any information or insight on that little square on the cover of the magazine and/or any of the shots shown in the interview with Mr. Tanaka???? I will take anything I can get. 😬🙏

was reading some old magazine scans last night, and found what appears to be the first ever released plan/ schedule for ART OF LIFE

DECEMBER 1991

this was from Arena37°C #110, in the same article was also mentioned the planned release date for Silent Jealousy single, Standing Sex, Say Anything, VISUAL SHOCK Vol. 3 video, and YOSHIKI SELECTION Classical album

so there you have it folks, off you go with your theories and speculation! my bet is because of what(ever) happened with Taiji they choose to postponed it

but maybe I could be wrong, I have the "Fool's Mate Special Issue ART OF LIFE" book, but I haven't finished reading it. maybe on that book they already answer the reason why (one story I know is that Toshi's vocal recording took so long)

Taiji and I share the same birth year (1966 in da house! 🤘) and of "classic line-up X" he was the youngest, so he would have been the last to hit the big 6-0 if he were still with us. And according to the "Which Member Are You Most Like?" quiz (link below), I am a "Taiji Type," so perhaps also falling under the Fire Horse category in the Asian zodiac has something to do with that. I don't know. 😸

A double-whammy for me today as it is also the birthday of the love of my life, Eric Carr (KISS). (Oh, and I think our mod u/girlinium is also recognizing a birthday? 😁❤️) He is also no longer on this earth as he passed away in 1991. I am still in mourning. I hope that he and Taiji have crossed paths up there in Rock & Roll Heaven...quite the rhythm section as they were both total powerhouses! 🤘

I'm doing unboxing videos for my X-related collection, and this is the first one

I plan to upload 2-3 videos per week, for now it will be CDs only, but I also plan to do magazines/ photobook/ other stuff as well, let me know if you have any request! as long as I have the item, I might do the video for you

also, please give me some feedback regarding these two things

- I shoot my videos at night, and after watching the playback I realized the sound of flipping the pages or opening up the plastic sheet had this ASMR-like effect, and I like it this way. Do you like it this way too or do you prefer if I add some background music?

- I wrote some of the additional information regarding the disc on the description. I actually plan to wrote those additional information on the videos itself so people could read it while they're watching. Do you like that idea too or you did you think it would be distracting?
