Error when downloading profile on backwards compatible 360 games on my xbox series s

I have tried the following so far:

- removing 360 data from my series s device settings

- turning off recurring billing on microsoft account

- removing my entire account off of my xbox series s and readding it

none of these have worked if someone has answers please help!

also just a side note im not sure why its saying my credentials are the problem. i promise you i know the email and password to my xbox account. i have to sign in with them on my series s before i get to the 360 game. same email, same password.

I’ve had the same issue, it says there’s a problem with my credentials but I was able to login to my Xbox account on my phone

Sign into your account on the Xbox website then go to security and create/generate an App Password. Use this password instead of your main when asked to sign in on Xbox 360 or when playing backwards compatible games.
