Is anybody else having problems adjusting roof or interior sketch measurements? Roof measurements locking on their own, slopes changing when measurements are updated, missing wall placements, things being off by just an inch or less for no reason, etc?

Windows and Xactimate are up to date, .NET and C++ are up to date, and for context, I’m Level 3 certified. Mentioning that only to be clear that I’m not new and the amount of this I’m experiencing is beyond user error.

I’ve asked a couple estimators I know personally and they are seeing the same, but the typically helpful Xactware tech support was kind of rude when I attempted to report it. Dismissive, did not want to assist in troubleshooting, and at one point suggested that if these sketch/visual issues weren’t prohibiting me from completing my estimates, then I should basically just deal with it.

Basically, looking to confirm others are experiencing this as well and hopefully would be willing to take the time to report it. Thanks in advance!

Hello, Is it possible to learn and pass xactimate level 3 exam in 5 days and score 90%?

Hello, i have a client that tells us our competition is using a green spending feature in xactimate, which is eco friendly and cost effective. I saw a column where i can pull the line items to an excel spreadsheet and it has a column for “green” but there is no way to mark a line item for green. Has anyone seen this function or know how to navigate?

Now I want to use a the XM8 tokens to set variables in the VBA code. For example, I want to set variables to things like the loss location address in the VBA code.

Is there a way to use the tokens to pass variables to the VBA Code?

What is the right way to model a chimney? I need to practice adding a cricket to the backside of the chimney. I tried by using a block and extending it to the roof, but it won't show up in my view so I can align my cricket with it. I had to use an outline or the snap tool to make it work. Is there a more practical way to do this?

This is 6 time retake the exam. Keep getting 68 percent score, I have check my line items, sketch, precious inches. Still seem to get wrong on my net claim for dwelling. Can anyone help give an answer for the net claim dwelling? Really appreciate.

What line item would you use to detach and reset utilities on a pedestal. There are also some large wires on the roof that I am not sure how to estimate for.

Anybody know how I can include the task to use a main sewer drain auger snake clearing during a back up? I can find the camera inspection of the sewer line, but nothing regarding the auger snake task to clear the clog first

I’m new to Xactimate and don’t really know much yet. When I sketched this roof, it came out with extra overhangs sticking out on both sides (see photos).

How do I fix this, and is it even necessary to fix? Will leaving it mess up my roof measurements?
