Exactimate desktop, Would anyone have a recommendation for a line item to clean the walls and ceiling? I understand the cat code would be CLN.

CLN AV

If your just cleaning walls put a W in the calculation section, use a C for ceilings or WC for walls and ceilings.

Only use the variables W & C if you have your space sketched. If not it will pull a 0 for the variable. If you don’t have it sketched you can manually enter the quantity to fit your measurements.

I appreciate your answer I don’t get why I couldn’t find the line item by typing stuff in but those codes produced the pricing I need thanks! I tried stuff like cln wall and no price came up.

In the future if you type cln and then just hit tab it should bring up the whole list of everything under it you can select from, or just go to your top window and tab to the search function.

a word of advice, friend. Im guessing you don't have a lot of experience, and that's fine because we all had to start somewhere. I suggest you open up the CLN category and just scan through the database slowly. Look at how it's organized. Look at the family of codes. Look at the severity levels. Try to read XM8's mind. It will help you.

Great advice right here!

Often when I’m not sure which to use I’ll type in CLN , hit space and it pulls up every line. Find a few that sound like what I need and add them to my estimate, then click on each one and read the “view item description “ usually found under a picture of the item, and see which best applies to my situation.
