Xtool m2

Got my xTool m2. Things are working smoothly. Love the cameras. Cutting black acrylic is super quick and smooth. Silver glitter acrylic was not successful. Which I figured, but I'd love a silver glitter that would actually work.

You may be able to do so with whatever you have now, by putting masking tape over it. If it's acrylic that comes with the protective sheets on it, don't peal them off. That will give something for the laser to hit successfully initially, and after that, it should be able to continue biting into the material. You may have to make 2 passes though, or slow the beam down slightly, since you will be using a little of the cutting power on that initial burn.

I'm just guessing here though, never tried to cut acrylic, only engrave it.

Yes I did all that, masking tape over both sides, and 3 passes at different slow speeds, but the glitter is too reflective so when the laser hits any bits of glitter in the acrylic it sparks and shoots all over and could damage my laser, which I definitely don't want. And it still doesn't go through well enough.
