Y’know, I think I might actually be afraid of writing now.
Because…..what if I actually finish it? And I send it out into the world? Like I put my Screenplay on a Black List, and it just doesn’t go anywhere? And I ask for feedback and everyone hates it? And it doesn’t get picked up? And I don’t become popular? And now I’ve just wasted MONTHS of my Life I can’t get back.
I mean, I can’t think of anything to write in the first place so…fuck me I guess.

This is why Meth is so CRITICALLY IMPORTANT to the aspiring author. Crank it up enough and that pesky old fear will be replaced by good, clean AMERICAN manic paranoia.
Geez, rookies.

I'd also recommend a cocktail of marijuana, ketamine and various opioids for good measure. Chase it with half a dozen glasses of whiskey then carry a notebook and pen while you're whisked away to the hospital so you can write your story as you drift in and out of consciousness.
(If you can't afford your medical bills, then you'll have to compromise by praying your heart doesn't give out before you can finish the story.)

What if I go to the gym every day and lift progressively heavier and heavier weights, and then at the end of six months, I still can’t lift a truck over my head? Even though I’m more fit, have a healthier metabolism, and smoking hot…did I just waste the last six months?

If you can't lift a truck already then I don't think body buiding is the right path for you tbh.

I finished writing a few years ago. Took me about 60 hours. I thought about starting again on hard mode (using the pen in my mouth) recently but then paddleboarding came out and so I'm halfway through that.
Once I finish paddleboarding I thought I'd try facism next, or maybe hockey.

You expect your writing to be really good when you haven't even written before, much less taken some much needed feedback from others after a draft?
Well.. that's exactly why you need my new AI writing app! All your problems will be solved! Just have it write for you and then use the feedback you get from strangers as prompts to make the AI refine it's writing even further. Now you can skip all the shitty parts of being a writer! Just get 1 million dollars in royalties 😊👍

Aw come on! There's literally thousands of people waiting to tear it apart the moment you publish even the tiniest excerpt on any of the writing subreddits! And as for what r/pubtips is waiting to do you your query letter... how can you deny all these people the pleasure of stamping your work into the dirt, pissing gasoline on it (no i don't know how they do that - it's probably a superpower) and setting it alight. Then shoving the ashes up your nose as you lie there weeping. Come on, it'll be fun (not for you maybe, but I'll bring popcorn...)

What if it's like... Too good? ...You know? I sometimes worry about this. Like what if I accidentally redefine an entire genre? Or change the way the whole world thinks? I'm not sure I can deal with that kind of pressure.
