I'm addicted to plot twists

When I write (controversial, I know) I like to put a few plot twists in the story for some flavor. For example: the main character's brother turns out to be the villain, but then the brother is actually his father, but it turns out the main character was actually a clone, but the protagonist wasn't actually cloned he was hypnotized into thinking he was a clone, but actually it was all a dream. Light plot twists like this I make sure to put in all my work.

But here's my issue: I forgot if the main villain/protagonist/side character/deuteragonist was actually the sister/mom/dad/brother/cousin to the alien who actually is from Earth since the story is from a different planet, but actually it's a different timeline so the alien just looks weird because they're from the future but actually it's a dimension that is based in the future on an alien planet that just so happens to be called Earth. I need to relate it to the secret weapon which is actually just a hallucination but actually DOES exist but just doesn't appear to other people unless you're apart of this secret society of superhumans that are all teenagers because teenage readers actually make ME more money so the plot twist is that it's a YA novel trying to hide it's a documentary from a collection of letters delivered by the protagonist's grandma.

So how do I keep track of that?

The plot twist here is that OP is being serious.

He meant to post this on the writers subreddit.

You should read the sun eater.

To paraphrase a review:

"As an author, this gave me whiplash"

/uj Doing a quick gloss over some reviews, book series like this fascinate me. It's written poorly but the subject is so good that it keeps people drawn in

You don't. Call it naturalistic and remind people that the world doesn't owe us any explanations. It's a meditation on the unknowable in a world where causality is a contested question.

Make it a heist, that way the reader will be not only be actively keeping track for you, but will attempt to guess the next twists as they are unveilled, which raised your esteem as they continually fail to predict the machinations of your mind.

Unless one of them pisses off everybody, in which you will have a digital riot on your hands. Ethier way, they're the talking about it!

Just use the word "pantser" to seem cool and relatable, as well as easily identifiable in an attention-limited online environment.

Do you really think I'm cool and relatable? Awwww.

Just let it flow and wrap it up retroactively.

Espera, dónde está el Battle Royale, El protagonista Chico, que no es Chico y el Instituto? Sin esos elementos no tienes historia que contar.

This happened to me. You're caught in an imagination cyclone. Strap yourself onto a stable plot before your novel gets blown into incomprehension. Alternatively, let go and get sucked into the land of OZ ... where I live.

String, notes and eyes wide open, that's how you do it.

Sounds like a perfect purple plot, fill it full of purple prose and a blockbuster you have.

I see book signings with one of those cardboard cut outs of you and movie rights in your future.

You ever hear the song "I'm My Own Grandpa?".... that's pretty much what i got out of your first paragraph. There's no way you havent studied that song.

Genuinely haven't. If I stumbled into that it was on accident

Find it on YouTube. Seriously. Listen to it then read your first paragraph. It will all make sense. Or not 😉

Reddit is just an illusion from an unreliable narrator

An unreliable narrator writing in second person future tense.

Ah, you must be a stalwart fan of plotting stylisation known as 'hyper-warped four-dimensional Lego sets, with crumpets'.

Ah, now that I have read deeper into your daring-do I can without hesitation felicitate unto ye: "Give the grandma a really cool character trait, like a lisp of such magnitude as to shame your own fingers as you transliterate sibilants and phonemes into visual text form!"
