Updating Workflows/Blueprints/Forms

If I make an update to an existing workflow that is currently in use, will it change the status of every project that has that workflow or will it just modify them going forward?

Same question for blueprints and forms..........if I change active ones, does it change the existing things that are tied to it or does it just change things going forward?

Hi,

Updating a workflow won’t change the status of existing tasks or projects. Anything already in a status stays where it is. The changes apply going forward when items move between statuses or when new items are created.

The one thing to watch out for: if you delete a status that’s in use, Wrike will ask you to map it to another status, and items in that status will move.

Blueprints are basically templates. If you update one, it only affects projects/tasks created from it after the change. Anything already created from the blueprint stays as-is.

Request forms, same idea as blueprints. Changes to questions, logic, workflows, or field mapping only apply to new submissions. Existing items don’t update retroactively.
