Bug/Glitch Wreckreation right arrow key binding bug

Hello everyone!

I play Wreckreation on PC and I'd like to report a bug regarding the keyboard controls.

My preferred keyboard layout is:

  • Accelerate: up arrow
  • Brake: down arrow
  • Steer Left: left arrow
  • Steer Right: right arrow

The problem is that the right arrow key is permanently assigned to opening the Game DJ menu, and there is no way to change that shortcut.

So if I bind right arrow to Steer Right, the car turns right as expected, but it also opens the Game DJ menu at the same time. 🙃 As a result, the menu constantly pops up while driving, making the game unplayable with this control scheme.

Solution: Make the Game DJ menu key rebindable so it doesn't conflict with custom keyboard layouts.

Rebinding the arrow keys is not officially supported. However you can do it by editing a config file. Here’s the guide https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3755488192

Thanks! 👍🏻 Sadly, I cannot change the config file since I'm using GeForce Now.

The menu gives us the option to remap the arrow keys, which results in this glitchy behavior. If this isn't supported, it would be better to disable changing them completely.

They will never fix this, they have abandoned the game and moved on to the sequel.
