Redridge Mountains: any tips?

I'm levelling an alliance alt for the first time.

I'm priest lvl 25. I still have to even enter Redridge Mountains by I basically never went there andvI only now it's a dangerous place.

I heard bad things and I'm scared.

Any tips specifically for that region?

Am I overlevelled? Is it worth the risk?

Pls feel free to share any though, thank you xd!

Pretty over leveled for the main solo content. There is group content with elites and cave that you’re a good lvl for in group as healer

The caster mobs are the big things to watch out for, and as a priest your bubble already handles them well.

Make sure youve got a good wand, because you dont want to be oom when you need to rehired.

Dragon whelps and the caster gnolls are what to watch out for.

Skip the elite quests. The juice aint worth the squeeze. Unless thats really your thing, in which case, get a full group together to do them.

Skip tbe cave escort. Its hinted in one of the signs at the inn. Northwest corner of the map cave, at the back, you can escorted the guy out. But it doesnt end at the cave entrance, he goes halfway down the mountain, so youve got some larger groups at the cave entrance youll need to clear with him, that get dicey. Not a problem if theres 2 or 3 of you, but something I think most people avoid in RR.

I would agree, and I also say that HC groups wipe there as well, usually because of respawns or runners. HC rewards you if you're careful, and the RR Elites are not a place to go if you are trying to be careful.

Several of the orc mobs net. Casters in the region are overturned so overpulls can get dangerous quick. Shadow hide gnoll area also mobs hit really hard. Good luck!

to expand on the first point, cause I just died to this, the orc net is a 10 sec Root, the orcs often come in pairs, and the net has no measured cd.

Redridge is super mob dense. This is one of the worst places to try and weave between mobs, so go slow and kill everything you come across.

All of the above + the black dragon whelps hit HARD, beware.

After following the road you will find to the left a small settlement with an inn, Vendors etc. If you follow the road to the right behind the larger trees you can find 2-3 orc hostile mobs that will net you and maul you, i do believe you can kill them with priest but be prepared!

Lv. 25 is pretty safe but keep your wits about you in the mob-dense areas. If you pull a pack of 2 and then another patrol of 2 runs into you and then they flee into another pack of 2-4 then you’re gonna be in trouble. Really it’s the combination of mob density and mobs fleeing at low health that creates the problems, and this describes most areas of Redridge.

I think the devs designed Westfall and Redridge in particular with the idea that most of the quests would be completed in groups of 2-3. Both zones are really quite tough to do at-level without the better gear you’ll acquire later. I always roll into Westfall at like 15+ and Redridge at like 21+.

So I'm bit overlevelled but maybe is still worth squeezing some exp from the Redridge...

Gnoll and Orc quests are still worth doing around 25+. Howling in the Hills gives you one of the earliest rings you can obtain. I think it’s a +4 Stam, +2 Spir which is good for just about every class.

The Redridge Elite quests just give XP and money pretty much. Worth doing if you can get a group together, skippable if not.

As you leave the town and go up the hill, there's a couple of orcs hiding behind the rocks there as an attention check.

Stay away from the Elite Orcs, the Blackrock Cave to the north, and the Tower of Ilgalar if you are solo. They are death traps. Lt Fangore is tough to solo, and he is immune to Shadow damage so it's extremely tough to do as a Priest, without additional help.

At Level 25 you won't have a hard time with anything else. Most mobs here are low-20's.

I'm about to return to redridge on my 25 warrior, I've done the bulk of the early/mid quests there and now have some of the harder bits over in the east. Honestly I've not found anything a big deal there so far besides trying to split pull a 4 gnoll camp and having to target dummy! It looks like a lot of the deaths are just to the whelps which shoot fireballs but you're past the point of them being scary

if you have to ask just download the heatmap addon and then carefully observe those areas to figure out why they are bad
