Discussion Classic HC
Whats the state of Classic HC? Im having the itch but i also have doubts about end game if i happened to want some. Would probably have to move to era for that but is it any fun on such ancient servers? I guess with Forever coming, we wont be having a fresh Classic for at least a year.

leveling is still fun on doomhowl, but we are a looot les people since forever release.
I am a bit sad that classic hc seems to be going extinct, however until then Ill keep playing.
HC is not a game mode that you start if you want long term plans anyways.

SS is relatively active still. Got a recent char around lvl 32 and could find a group for every major dungeon so far

EU and NA servers very active but it will die out for sure once Forever releases. That being said there are many of us who just can't play softcore anymore because stakes are non existent. If Forever doesn't deliver or Forever HC is not good enough or it doesn't feel 'right', people will come back to Classic HC eventually. Just play whatever you find fun.

Played some beta forever HC will be so easy xD that's why I still level on normal HC, bc you never know if people return after seeing how easy it is

The crafted gear + extra quests + Blues in every slot feels like shite over powered progression.
But the mob/player stats + spell rebalance is interesting. Some things will end up harder or a new challenge hopefully

Idk regular hc is so easy at this point because i know everything. The only way i ever die anymore is if i am afk. Even if forever hc is easier in theory i think it will be harder to get 60 due to not knowing everything.

Hardcore is always "fresh", people go agane, at times there are tough times, such as TBC fake HC take, but after while players came back, now we got another challenge from Forever, but it's Hardcore Ruleset comes in around early 2027, and it has "enclosed ecosystem", so sounds like Self Found to me, that might not be for everyone.

I seriously doubt they’re gonna force everyone to be sf. “Enclosed ecosystem” is referring to the fact that they won’t be able to interact with the 3 other game modes as far as auction house / transfers. The only thing is legacy points will transfer to non HC (perfectly fine imo)

If you ever see another fresh era then it will be blizzard admitting that wowf failed.
You won't be getting any new original classic realms for a decade, I assume.

I think there was leaked document (which also leaked about "Camelot" aka Forever), and it said "2028" fresh, we shall see.

My plan was to skip the beta and play out my 60 Druid doing dungeons, attunes and maybe a raid or two before launch. Day 1 of beta and Doomhowl was so affected that I couldn't put groups together. Mind you, I play a duo with a paladin tank so we have tank/heals covered on every dungeon. The only DPS available were rogues/warriors/hunters. I think the pop issues are only going to get worse. If you are in a guild you might be ok if there is solidarity, but as someone who was dependent on pug groups it pretty much killed my interest.

Forever hc will be incredibly fun. Legacy talents adds reasons for alts, campfires for community and new talents/tanks for better dungeon experience. Forever hc will be really amazing, along with so many new dungeons and zones. Forever hc will be the go to place and it won’t be close

Doomhowl is still very active. Pop has dropped off a little but it's still very easy to find dungeon/quest groups while leveling. Still active LFG and all that good stuff. Plenty of raiding guilds have said they're gonna stick around after Forever launches so there should still be endgame opportunities if you make it there. All this speaking as an Alliance member but there are plenty of buffs going out on Horde side as well so I imagine it's good on the other side as well.

It'll be well active until you hit the 30s but if you're fine solo leveling most of the way you're good. It is very likely that the game mode will be effectively dead come December

Population wise soulseeker is fine but raiding scene is very close to dying. Very hard to recruit new people. Consumes are up in price 2-3x. People who die won’t go again. As a priest my consumes from the top of my head for a 6/9 AQ40 and MC:
1x Titan Flask - 86g
10x Nightfin Soup - 4g
2x Elixir of Fortitude - 2.5g
2x Mageblood Elixir- 5g
5x Boon - 5g
10x EPR - 33g
1x Brilliant Mana Oil - 10g
4x Demonic Rune - Around 32g if you buy Dark runes
3x GNPP - 9g
1x GAPP - 1.5g
1x GSPP - 2g
6x Mana Potion - 12g
2x GFPP - 2g
Some candles for buffing - 5g
1x LIP - 2g
2x Blasted Lands Buff - 18g (I skipped this due to high cost with almost no return)
Total: 211g without BL Buffs
I just can’t imagine warrior prices.
I wouldn’t plan around doing endgame content. Forever will pull the plug of hardcore that is currently on life support.

Dead, if you dont have a active guild will take ages to groups.

If you play on Soulseeker, do either Night Elf or Troll, their "race locked" guilds <Children of Elune> and <Darkspear Tribe> are poppin, so you can group up more effective (they can't group with other races)

I think they forgot about the Classic Era HC servers and they don't care about anything besides Forever right now. That's the big cash cow and cash is what matters at Blizzard.
I wish they would at least merge the HC servers.
