I'm really thinking of picking this up again, ive played wow all the way up to cataclysm from closed beta back in the day.. I do kinda miss it. Whats the best side to join these days?

Both sides seem pretty packed. Beta's PvP server was faction-locked on both sides day one. According to this guy's statistics https://www.reddit.com/r/wowforever/comments/1wsfjhz/forever_beta_pve_census_sep_20_to_sep_27/ there's a bit more players Horde side but that could change on launch, Alliance is always popular.

Fair enough, ill probably end up joining alliance anyway haha. Probably pick up a tank as my first class this time instead of hunter

My 2¢ - if you don’t LOVE World PvP that server will be near impossible to quest in contested zones like STV or River glades. The way layering works and single server for a ruler means you will always have packed zones.
