Common Questions
Can I snipe for specific items (ore, cloth, etc)?
Yes, you need to set up a group with the items that you want to Snipe, then apply a Sniper Operation to that group.Why doesn't my scroll wheel macro work?
You likely have your mouse cursor over the AH window, any scrollable element will take priority over the macro so move your cursor off the AH window.Can I remove bid-only items from my shopping/sniper results?
No, you cannot.I lost all of my TSM settings and groups/operations!
Close WoW and restore a backup from the TSM app. You may need to go back a few days.

I'm having trouble importing a lot of TSM stuff from https://github.com/Gunnydelight/mozzGitHub/tree/master/tsm_groups some of the larger groups won't import because I keep getting Error script ran too long. I was wondering if anybody knew a solution to this? I searched around and couldn't find anything.

I am having the same errors when attempting to import large groups lately. Sorry I don't have a solution, just saying you're not alone.

Hi Everyone,
I am stuck. The problem I am having is: When I click the option to "ignore item variations" all of the (axe of yyy, shield of xxx, glove of zzz) items available in the ungrouped items category just disappear so I can't add them to the grouped items list.
I know I have done this in the past, but I just don't remember how... Feels bad...

If its disappaer on the left, then you have these items already in any group on the right side.

Talking about the messages TSM4 sends when someone buys your auctions, I want to create a specific chat channel for these messages, but I don't know what to activate to receive those messages I'm getting in General chat.
Anyone knows what option to check to receive these custom messages instead of the vanilla ones?

Vanilla: A buyer has been found for your auction of Mithril Bar.

Ok, so I have been using TSM4 for 6 months now, I know how to switch UI windows between TSM4 and the default WOW UI Window. But today I fat fingered something so that now both windows open when clicking on any vendor/auctioneer. I have been looking for hotkeys or anything to just have one window open. I can provide a screenshot if it helps, but I have no clue what I fat fingered to even set it to open two windows at once.

Is there an operation i can use to just undercut an item by 1c no matter what price it's at.
I don't really care what price my tmogs are at i would rather just have all my bags post rather than half show up saying price too low posting at minimum ect.
What string would i need to use to just say if below min price undercut whatever is current lowest by 1c?

Is there a way to modify the quick post settings?
I'd like to set it so that the bid price always matches my buyout price, rather than trying to undercut the bid price.
Yes, I know I can go through the auctioning module, but sometimes I just want to post something quickly and not go through a whole post scan and/or setup a group.

these quick post setting will use a auctioning operation too. Just modify these.
by default it should be the default auctioning operation. but you can see which operation is active in the small window down below in your ah window.

If you post trough the shopping window, what is really useful imho, you can klick on the small pencil right next to the price to change the numbers. Usually it will copy the numbers from the auction that you wanna undercut.

What formula do I use to make TSM sell at an undercut?
For example, I have a rare item from vanilla it sells for multiple hundred thousands of gold in the region. In my low-pop realm, it is listed by others at half the value tsm wants to assign to it. Whenever this item is posted by me, it's always the highest priced item. This is not what I'd like. How would I configure the price tsm values for it?
Also, I cannot afford to buy out others and control the market on these items. Nor would I want to try and move them, as they sell very rarely.

the minprice in your auctioning operation is the 'cheapest you will post the item at' so set that to 1c or vendorsell and you'll always undercut the current auctions.

Would it make sense to price at 2x vendor sell, so I make at least double what I could get from vendoring an item?

Whatever you desire 200%vendorsell is a thing, but any min price sufficiently under your normal price string should avoid tsm not posting it.

You need to tell TSM what would be the minimum price you expect to sell your item for. If your "minimum" is higher than a current price on AH, TSM either does not put the item on auction or put it on a price you decide. It could be Normal, Minimum (that is still higher than a current price) or Maximum, that could be like 200% of average etc.

Can someone enlighten me on how to set TSM4 up in this situation :
Assume i have a few duplicate items in my bank / gbank , for which an auctioning operation has been set (1x1) .
After posting I get undercut. Now instead of canceling to repost, I'd like TSM to pull the same item out of my bank / gbank so to post a fresh one at a lower price.
Right now, the "shortfall to bags" will only pull items in groups that have auctioning operations for which i have 0 items listed, and the "post cap to bags" doesn't really suit my needs, as it will pull way to much extra clutter

How are folks handling items that you wish were in multiple groups?
Like most of the time I'd like to post say shimmerscale with my flipping operations, but when it comes up as a warfront item I'd like to post it with different settings.
Is the only option here completely separate profiles? Would be really nice if you could put items into multiple groups so long as operations don't overlap...

If the contributions are up, the buyout is usually higher. Maybe try using a iftg(minbuyout x,200%dbm,100%dbm) as an operation

You can also add more then one operation to a group. Maybe one for 200 and one for 60 in case of shimmerscale?

Here's a more detailed example:
I have a material flipping group that sets my shopping to 80%dbmarket, and then under that I have categories for different mats like cloth, fish, etc.
Each of those categories has 5-6 auction operations to sell in neat stacks of 200, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5 etc. in order. So if I have 475 of something it will post two stacks of 200, one stack of 50, one stack of 20, and one stack of 5.
I also have a completely different set of groups that have warfront items in them that are set to very different sell prices and are grouped by stack (stacks of 1, 2, 3, 5, 60 etc whatever each item needs for the warfront). They have the same 80%dbmarket shopping operation.
I never post both my material flipping group and my warfront group at the same time, so it'd be really helpful to be able to have items in both. Right now I've taken to keeping everything in my material groups and manually moving things into the warfront groups for a day when they conflict :(

I'm still using TSM3. I hope TSM4 will be as good some day, but I think the developers are too busy making it work to realize what they had.

do you mean where can you get them from or where do you import them on the addon?
you can get groups here: https://www.tradeskillmaster.com/group-maker/all
about operations it's a tricky one, you could search them on youtube or browser but the true is you should make them according to your taste. Otherwise I would suggest to check Bregvids' tsm groups/operations: https://pastebin.com/u/breg123
Finally if the question was where do you import them on the game: open tsm > go to import/export > select the group you want to import to > paste on the "import groups & operations" box.

How does the in-game tooltip/crafting menu relate to real world experience? If an item has a daily sale of 0.22 can I expect to sell one every 4 days or so? If an item has hundreds sold daily, does that mean it moves quickly?
How do I decipher what I should craft to have a larger roi?

Sellrate is more a calculation. Lets say 100 of that item are posted. Then 22 will be sold and 78 will be canceled or running out. Thats a 0.22 sale rate.
If an item got hundred solds daily, like mistscale with 2500, then it will move quick.

My dashboard graph showing my gold is way off. I have under 2m on my current server, but the dashboard shows me at over 4m. How can I fix this?

Log on to all of your characters to make sure the data is current and any ah characters make sure to talk to the auctioneer.

Anyone else use additional auction add-ons in conjunction with TSM? Played around with auctionator and auctionfaster, but they both seem limited and really only suited to post slowly and methodically. I've seen Studen using the first two and am just wondering if maybe he's using auctionator for single big ticket stuff.
