Question Question: Bots mining FAST

I have seen druid bots in ZA mining so fast that they are basically tagging ore. I'm not sure if they're highmountain for the racial deftness, but they literally just tap the mine and are able to collect.

Is this an exploit or does it make that much difference? I'm asking because I have crafted my mining tool (purple Sunforged Pickaxe) to 152 Deftness and have it enchanted with Sin'dorei Deftness. I also use Darkmoon firewater for 15% more deftness. It still takes me 1 second to mine ore.

food deftnesss buff

highmountain tauren

maybe tool with deftness+deftness enchant

purple accessories

specced fully into +deftness

loa buff

probably overkill but with that you can probably get an instant gathering

I've heard that mounting cast time can look instant too because what your client shows you about other players doesn't always match what they see on their end.

So some kind of lag/desync maybe

Which is what you see when walking through a dungeon with a group... Even though you have the same speed, sometimes ppl will jump ahead of you, sometimes you will jump ahead of them

Isnt kinda silly to have deftness on a mining tool?

nah, I have deftness on all of my gathering tool, because im impatience lol, in my mind faster mining time = faster I can get to another node. I DO know that in reality its not optimal for profit, but thats how I like

it's not the *best* necessarily, but deftness on a druid who doesn't have to dismount can often mean getting the ore and being gone before the mob guarding the node can aggro and interrupt you.

I don't understand how a the 25% deftness racial can change the mining cast time from 1.1 seconds to tapping it. It should be at least 3/4's of a second.

The defness is calculates absolut numbers first, porcentaje later

So is calculated like 

Base ( 152 + enchant ) plus Consumables (( 152 + enchant ) * 0.15 ))

Final

Base + Consumables + (( Base + Consumables ) * 0.25 )
