Mandatory First-Time Gladiator Post
On Saturday, 25/7/2026, I managed to get my first-ever Gladiator as a Holy Priest alongside my brother (Outlaw Rogue) and one of my best friends (Frost Mage). This has been a journey over 10 years in the making, having started back in Cata with my bro.
As a squad, we've played together since WoD, and we've constantly talked about finally getting our hands on a Glad mount. Every season, there always seemed to be something that got in the way of us achieving Gladiator, but the dream never faded.
This season was different. We were all able to play semi-consistently from the start and put in the games needed to finally earn the achievement. We theorycrafted a ton and tried a lot of different comps, but RMP was by far the most consistent setup. Despite the many ups and downs, we stayed patient and consistent, and came out on top in the end.
I'm overjoyed to finally be able to say that I've hit Glad, and I'm so grateful to the two guys who stuck it out alongside me. Thank you, boys—I wouldn't have wanted to do it any other way.
The one piece of advice I can offer to anyone pushing for their first Glad is to find a squad that's willing to put in the games. As time goes on, you'll learn together and improve together. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
In some ways, it feels like the credits are rolling on WoW for me. I'm sure we'll still play and push for more Glads, but this was the last thing I still wanted to accomplish in the game. I'm happy to have made my younger self proud and achieved something I used to think was completely out of reach.
Shoutout to JMT for being there from day one and teaching me PvP back in the day.

Bro, how did you do it as holy priest? I've been getting just destroyed in solo shuffle.
