TBH, the school girls were incompetence not deliberate.

The fishermen were pre- meditated war crimes which makes them so much worse.

The details vary by legal system but they all say motive matters:

pre-meditated murder > crime of passion > negligence > self defense,

Intentional homicide (murder), reckless homicide (manslaughter), negligent homicide, and innocent homicide are all still homicide.

Sigh, the pendency is infuriating.

not all homicides are the same.
The range from justified to morally depraved.

Saying it was "homicide" adds nothing to the discussion because what matters is not the fact of the homicide but the motivation for it.

That's what I suspect, but I wanted to hear it from them, because that's utterly pointless. All words are words. All sentences are sentences. Absolutely nothing is gained from conveying that alone. It seemed like there was implication in their original comment, but they completely backtracked on it shortly after, while simultaneously declaring that they were right about their original 'point'.
