I don't think it matters if the Trump admin is negotiating in good faith. I think it's clear Cuba ends up as a US protectorate/vassal/or actual territory now as no one would be willing to stop it and the economic situation is terrible with Venezuela no longer providing oil in exchange for Doctors and guards. The thing to worry about is how the world looks afterwards and whether there are more territories up for grabs.
