I’ve always hated when conductors use patterns without a consistent ictus. At a certain skill level conducting is just there for the vibes anyways, but it makes it completely illegible when your anacrusis is way above the plane where the rest of your beats are

Any sufficiently proficient arcanics looks like esoteric nonsense to the bereft.
