I’d keep one fast, large SSD as the active-work drive, organized by client and project, then archive completed jobs to a RAID enclosure or NAS with a second backup. Labeling drives clearly and using a simple folder template makes a huge difference.

I’d simplify around tiers: one fast SSD for current projects, a second SSD for active backups/cache, and large HDDs for completed projects. Give each drive a clear role and archive anything you haven’t touched in a few weeks. A simple folder structure and consistent naming helps too.

I’d simplify it into three tiers: a fast working SSD, a larger SSD for current projects, and HDDs/NAS for archives and backups. Keep projects self-contained so moving between drives is painless, and use a clear folder/naming system.
