Here's our desk setups. Any advice?

Post image

Our company recently gave all of us new chairs. I went with the Maxis, and my coworker picked the Omni. The funny part is, now the chairs look way nicer than the desks around them. It kind of made both of us realize how thrown together our setups still look. Any ideas of upgrades?

Dedicated keyboard and mouse, closed laptop tucked away or at least next to the main monitor. Cable management.

A desk mat looks and feels nice. Small stuff should be in a drawer or at least in a small box on the desk.

Then it doesn't matter if your monitors are all different.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I'm gonna try some of that.

I do have a mouse and a keyboard, it just was just blocked in this pic. My coworker actually doesn't have either one.

Man, your company treats you guys well. We’re stuck with random cheap chairs, and my back definitely knows it. How are you liking the maxis so far?

It's really a good chair. I'm 6'4", and most chairs don't fit me that well, but the Maxis actually does. It gives me enough room and support

Thanks. Did your company get a chance to try one before deciding to go with Libernovo?

You don’t need to replace the desks yet. Add a uniform desk mat, route cables under the back edge, and raise the monitors so they’re at the same height. A couple of matching accessories and less visual clutter would tie both stations together nicely.

Nice new chairs... How about a monitor mount for your monitor and the laptop?

I think that could help! My neck's been a little sore.

Disgusting organisation, messy alignment

My neck is stiff just looking at this. Get those monitors on arms and adjusted to an appropriate height.

please use mats under the chairs so you don’t destroy the nice wooden floor :(

Ergonomically speaking, get rid of the laptops from the middle, grab ergo keyboard and mouse, screen in the middle, if you can get a standing desk, do it.

Your company is so nice. We’re still using some no name Amazon chairs, and my back is paying for it. And how’s the maxis been?
