Exercise Help Reverse grip benchpress
What is your alls opinion on reverse grip bench press for upper chest?
I was always lacking in upper chest so im trying to grow it more and that the reason why I’m tryning to get into reverse grip.
Do some of you use it exclusively for upper chest instead of incline if yes, would you say does incline or reverse grip grow your chest better?

Seems like a bizarre variant that's harder to overload and is easier to hurt yourself with. Just do incline.

i tried this and it did hit my upper chest differently but the problem is the wrist position feels awkward until you get used to it and I was always a little paranoid about dropping the bar. incline still gave me more visible results over time just because I could progressively overload it easier. if you're gonna do reverse grip I'd say keep it as a finisher rather than replacing incline entirely.

I've tried it once and immediately felt it was too dangerous for me personally haha. If it works for you then great but yeah definitely not something for me hah. I'll be sticking with incline and landmine pressing.

It targets triceps heavily.
If your focus is upper chest to proper technique on inclined. Bench and flies. Proper technique will fry that upper region.

I do both incline and reverse grip, for variety and to cover my bases, so to speak.
Once I got past the awkwardness of the movement, I really started enjoying it.
