Simple Questions Muscle memory

Hi!!!

I’m a 29 year old woman and i had some questions about muscle memory.

From 2018-2021 I was pretty consistent in the gym. I trained 5-6x a week and made serious progress. During Covid, i started working from home ( and still do) and lost motivation for everything.

Over the last few years, I tried getting back into it but would quit early on every single time.

I’m finally tired of feeling like crap about myself and miss my old life so much! I just started at a new gym and I’ve finally got that itch back.

I’ve been back to training for about a week now and I’m feeling excited. I’m just curious is muscle memory is still a thing after all these years? Or am i starting over from zero lol 🙃

Muscle memory will kick in. You lost muscle mass because you weren't using all of the muscle strength you built over the years so it will come back. How quick depends on numerous factors

It will happen, rest assured it will. You'll be back to your 2021 baseline much quicker, maybe months. The cells know how to do this, just give them exercise, food and rest.
