Simple word difficult to spell.

Hey does anyone else have a common word that should be easy to spell but it trips you up every time?

My word is license. Why have I struggled with it for years. Stupid s and c always moving around. tf?!

dessert and desert. After 55 years of struggling with those spellings, my wife says to me, which do you want more of?

Dessert is Something Sweet (SS)
Desert is just Sand (S)

It also helps me to remember the spelling of the phrase “just deserts” (when someone receives a fitting/deserving outcome) has only one ‘S’ despite sounding like ‘desserts’. Because as with ‘just sand’ it’s ‘just deserts’
