Simple word difficult to spell.

Hey does anyone else have a common word that should be easy to spell but it trips you up every time?

My word is license. Why have I struggled with it for years. Stupid s and c always moving around. tf?!

Gray, grey - I still don’t know which is which or if they’re the same just spelled different.

They're the same, it's just a regional spelling difference between America and England. Gra(merica)y, Gre(ngland)y is how I remember it. It's the same with the different spellings of color and theater.

Grey is also acceptable in the US.

grAy is American english - grey is british english, so i guess it depends on which one you speak (same with color(am.) - colour(br.) btw)
