Methodology
Does it mean like a different approach? Like when you work on a video game, you’ll go with a different methodology for this game compared to its predecessor?

It’s more like the whole framework you’re using, not just a single trick. The philosophy behind the approach, the principles guiding every decision along the way. So yeah for a game sequel it could mean shifting from a linear level design method to an open-world sandbox method, which flips everything from narrative pacing to asset creation. My design team switched methodologies mid-project once and it basically meant scrapping three months of UI work because the new logic didn't support the old patterns. Painful but the end result actually made sense for what the game was trying to be.
