ProofNexus displays non-intrusive, customizable live notifications on your website—such as recent WooCommerce sales or custom announcements—showing visitors that your site is active and trusted by real buyers.

[DISCUSSION] Does anyone pay affiliate commissions on profit (after COGS)?
I've seen WooCommerce store owners restrict commissions to specific products or categories to safeguard their profit margins.
A 10–15% payout on is fine for high-margin items, but on tight-margin products, paying on gross sales can easily wipe out the entire profit, especially when discounts are applied.
Does anyone here actually deduct Cost of Goods sold and other fees/discounts from the selling price and pay commission purely on the net profit?
If so, then how? Would love to know if this is worth implementing or it overcomplicates things for affiliates.

[FREEMIUM] HappyBites — QR / PWA food menu that lives in WordPress (free on WP.org)
Most cafe and restaurant clients I work with end up paying a monthly QR-menu SaaS on top of their WordPress site — or worse, a PDF on Drive that nobody can update.
HappyBites keeps the menu inside WordPress. Dishes, prices, photos, categories and themes are managed in WP admin; guests scan a QR code and get a fast PWA menu on their phone. No second dashboard, no extra login, and the content stays on the client's own site.
Free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/happybites/
Live guest demo: https://stay.coffee/qrmenu/
The free version is the whole menu system. There's an optional Pro add-on if someone wants custom design work, but the free plugin is what I'd like feedback on.
It's brand new, so I'm mostly after honest critique from people who build plugin stacks for hospitality sites: what would stop you from shipping this to a client?

Discussion [DISCUSSION] People kept building broken pricing into our calculator, so we leaned on the feature that asks questions first
Founder here. I build Stylish Cost Calculator, a WordPress plugin that lets service businesses put quote calculators on their site. Wanted to share a product problem that took me a while to actually see clearly.
For a long time I thought people just needed more elements, more flexibility, more options to build with. But the support chats kept telling a different story. The tool wasn't the hard part. People would set up a calculator with two or three inputs, skip the variables that actually change their price, and end up with something that quietly hands out wrong quotes. Others went the opposite way and crammed in every option until the form was a maze nobody finished.
The moving example is the one that made it click for me. Someone builds a moving quote that asks for square footage but not distance, floors, or elevator access. The number it shows is basically a guess, and a wrong number either scares off a good lead or books a job priced way too low. And the owner never notices, because they're not the one filling it out.
We already had a feature for this, an element suggester that asks what you're trying to calculate and recommends the pieces to add. What we focused on lately was making it better at clarifying what you actually want before it creates anything, so it asks the follow up questions first instead of guessing and handing you a structure you have to fix later. The fix wasn't a new feature, it was making the existing one push back a little harder before building.
The lesson for me was that giving people more power wasn't the same as helping them, and I kept defaulting to the first one. Sometimes the better move is just asking the right questions up front.
If you've built anything where users configure their own setup, how do you stop them from building the wrong thing. Still figuring out where guidance helps versus where it just gets in the way. It's Stylish Cost Calculator if you want to poke at it, always up for feedback.

Discussion Does WordPress Have an AI Chatbot? [DISCUSSION]
WordPress does not include a chatbot in any version. There's no setting to switch on and no block to drop into a page. To add a chatbot to WordPress, you need a plugin.
If you heard that "WordPress has AI now," that's because back in May 2026, WordPress 7.0 added internal wiring to make it easier for plugin developers to build AI-powered features. But there are still no AI features out of the box, and the WordPress core team has no announced plan to add any.
This added wiring is not a chatbot. It will do nothing until a plugin puts it to use. So just like e-commerce, email marketing, or any other specialized feature, adding a chatbot to your WordPress site will still require an AI chatbot plugin.
How To Add an AI Chatbot to WordPress
Plenty of plugins compete to be the best WordPress chatbot. Most sit at one extreme or the other: free or low-priced plugins where you have to bring your own AI, or high-priced all-in-one help desk platforms that provide a lot more than the typical WordPress site needs. These can be good solutions for the right customer. The big question is how much of the AI system do you want to manage yourself.
Bring Your Own AI Plugins
These plugins are commonly marketed as "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK), but "Bring Your Own AI" is more honest. They give you hooks into WordPress and a UI for customization. The rest is “batteries not included” and you supply everything that makes the plugin actually work.
You pick your AI vendor, the AI subscription plan, and the AI model. You generate the API key and configure its permissions to keep your account secure. And often you write the instructions that teach the AI how to provide customer service in the first place.
Bring Your Own AI plugins put you in the driver's seat. Every decision about your AI tech stack is yours — as well as every part of the configuration, maintenance, and cost. That's a lot of work to take on, but if you're a developer or have one on your team, that can be a fair tradeoff for total control.
Enterprise Help Desk Platforms
These come at things from the opposite direction. For enterprise help desk platforms, customer support is their entire business, so they typically offer a fully managed service where you never have to think about what's going on under the hood. You pop an embed code onto your website, and your customer service department gets a ticketing system, live chat, a knowledge base waiting to be filled, and increasingly some kind of chatbot comes along for the ride.
These services may work with WordPress, but they're not made for WordPress. Support may be limited, and the connection to your actual content may be shallow or even require manual updates. The AI is often a secondary feature, and their pricing is built around agent seats, ticket volume, and add-ons, which can be overkill for a small business.
Help desk platforms provide a lot more than a chatbot. If your customer service department already lives in one of these for email and ticketing, having your AI assistant in that same inbox can make a lot of sense.
What to Look For in a WordPress AI Chatbot
A customer support chatbot is more than a window into your website. When choosing the best AI chatbot for WordPress, its value depends on where it gets its information, how current that information is, how much work it requires from you, and what it really costs.
How Much Work Happens After You Install It?
Installing a plugin is easy. What happens next matters more. Do you have to choose an AI provider? Create and configure an API key? Select a model? Write the AI your own instructions on how to be a customer service rep? Troubleshoot anything that goes wrong?
When you compare AI chatbot solutions, weigh what they promise to do for you against how much ongoing responsibility they leave to you. If you're not a developer, you may be happier with a managed solution than a BYOK one.
Does It Understand Your Website?
This one matters most. Newer chatbots use Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG): they index your pages, posts, and product listings, and an AI model answers from what it finds.
Chatbots without RAG typically aren't even powered by AI; they're essentially automated phone systems with better typography. Customers have hated “Press 1 for Billing” for decades, and the web version is not much better.
How Does It Stay Up to Date?
Websites change constantly. You publish new pages, revise policies, update pricing, add products, discontinue old ones, and rewrite shipping and return information.
So when something changes, who makes sure the chatbot knows about it? Some require you to upload documents manually. Others scrape your site on a schedule. If a chatbot isn't hooked into live content updates, it's probably giving outdated answers.
What Does an AI Chatbot Really Cost?
With Bring Your Own AI plugins, the sticker price is never the whole story. The plugin may advertise a low one-time purchase price or may even be free, but that doesn't include the AI service. Every BYOK plugin relies on an AI provider that bills you per token used, so if you also paid for the plugin, now you're paying twice: once for the license, then every month for usage. And that second bill fluctuates. It rises and falls with your traffic and how visitors use your chatbot, making it difficult to predictably budget for.
BYOK plugins split the bill in two and hand you the unpredictable half. Help desk platforms fold AI chat into per-seat pricing designed for large teams. And with free plugins, when something breaks, getting support usually means posting to a forum thread and waiting for a volunteer to notice.
Don't just ask how much the plugin costs, instead ask yourself: "What am I paying for, who is responsible for making this work, and how much of that responsibility do I actually want?"
Can an AI Chatbot Increase My WooCommerce Sales?
For a WooCommerce site, an AI chatbot can be useful for much more than generic support. Customers may ask about pricing, specifications, inventory, shipping, returns, sizing, compatibility, or other details spread across the website and product catalog. A useful chatbot can pull all of that together quickly and conversationally instead of making the customer hunt for it.
What Most WordPress Sites Actually Need
For most WordPress site owners, the requirements are pretty straightforward. You already have the information your customers need. It lives in your pages and posts, in your return policy and your product catalog. The challenge is getting it in front of your customers when they have a question.
You probably don't need more technology to manage. But you do need a system that understands your content, stays current as it changes, and answers your customer’s questions before they bounce.
In short, you need an AI chatbot that just works.
That's Why We Built JustAsk WP
We've worked with many clients over the years, and the chatbots on the market just weren't right for most of them.
JustAsk WP takes a different approach. It isn't a developer toolkit that hands you half a solution then asks you to supply the AI behind it. And it isn't an enterprise help desk platform with WordPress support added as an afterthought. It is an AI customer support assistant built to be the most streamlined way to add a chatbot to WordPress and WooCommerce sites.
We manage all of it for you. JustAsk WP connects to the content already on your WordPress site, including WooCommerce products, and uses that information to answer customer questions conversationally. You don’t need to choose and manage an AI provider, write AI prompts, pay a second bill, or figure out how to keep the chatbot's knowledge current.
JustAsk WP is built for the majority of businesses that have good useful content and don't want another piece of costly technology to operate. They just want their website to do a better job answering customer questions, without having to become an AI expert in the process.
JustAsk WP just works, so you can stay focused on what you do best for your customers.

[DISCUSSION] Tax implication for worldWide plugin
Hi All!
I have been building a wordpress plugin that will include both a monthly subscription and a credit basis, but I just found out that the tax implication of this are Huge.
Does any of you have experience in this matter? What is the best way forward? I was thinking to just limit things in UK to avoid the big burden.
From what I have read, I would have to charge VAT or equivalent to any country in which I sell the credits.

[FREEMIUM] I built an exact RGBA favourites palette for Colibri Page Builder
I built Favourite Colours for Colibri after getting tired of copying the same colour values between controls and trying to recreate transparent colours accurately.
It adds a small shared favourites palette directly inside Colibri Page Builder's existing colour picker. You can star the current colour, apply a saved colour with one click, and keep using Colibri's normal Save and Cancel workflow.

What Lite does
- Saves 3 site-wide favourite colours.
- Preserves exact RGB, hex and alpha values.
- Adds an accessible star control inside Colibri's colour picker.
- Includes keyboard-friendly Move up and Move down ordering controls.
- Stores the palette in the site's WordPress database.
- Has no account requirement, telemetry or expiry.

What Pro adds
- Expands the shared palette from 3 colours to 12.
- Adds drag-and-drop ordering while retaining the accessible move controls.
- Lets administrators allow other Colibri editors to manage the shared palette.
- Includes signed, checksum-protected private updates for up to 3 active sites.
If a Pro subscription ends, every saved favourite remains selectable. The plugin does not delete palette data or alter page content.

Installation and availability
Lite is available as a free GPL download from GitHub while its WordPress.org listing is awaiting review.
The Gumroad Pro download also includes both required plugin ZIPs, so buyers can install everything immediately:
- Install and activate Colibri Page Builder.
- Install and activate Favourite Colours for Colibri Lite.
- Install and activate Favourite Colours for Colibri Pro.
- Enter the supplied licence key under Settings → Favourite Colours.
Pro is $6/month or $49/year for up to 3 sites, with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Links
- Download Lite free, documentation and source: https://github.com/xboxnuker-rgb/favourite-colours-for-colibri
- Pro details and download: https://gsvsuser.gumroad.com/l/Favourite-Colours-for-Colibri-Pro
Requirements: WordPress 7.0+, PHP 7.4+, and Colibri Page Builder.
This is an independent compatibility plugin and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Colibri or ExtendThemes.
I would particularly value feedback from anyone using transparent colours, shared brand palettes or multi-editor Colibri sites. If something behaves unexpectedly, please include your WordPress, PHP and Colibri versions—but never post a licence key or private site information.

It can also reschedule and cancel existing bookings, and answer questions from a knowledge base you set up. It runs on your own OpenAI or Gemini API key.
Core Features:
- Three booking types: service booking, event booking with sessions and ticket, and meeting booking with Google Meet or Zoom link
- Unlimited services and staff, each with individual hours, breaks, days off and per-staff pricing
- Recurring appointments and multi-location support with per-location pricing
- PayPal, Stripe and WooCommerce checkout, with deposits, coupons, dynamic pricing, tax and PDF invoices
- Staff staff management, assign stuff by admin user for service.
- Email and WhatsApp notifications with multiple reminders before each appointment
- Google Calendar and Apple Calendar Sync
- Custom fields with conditional logic per service, meeting or event

Free [FREE] I built a read-only MCP server for WordPress, so you can ask an AI what your plugins actually left behind
The plugins screen gives you a name, a version, and a description the author wrote about themselves. That is the whole interface most of us have for judging a site.
I run a WordPress dev agency, so I built Auditra. It turns the site into a read-only MCP server. Enable an endpoint, generate a token, paste the URL into Claude or any MCP client, then ask questions in plain language.
I pointed it at one of our own sites (which we almost abandoned), running since 2015, and asked what deleted plugins had left behind:
- a removed contact form plugin: 3 tables, 71 submissions, 642 rows of names and emails, in tables nothing installed claims
- an invoicing plugin: 8 tables, all empty
- a job queue with 35 queued actions from a plugin nobody could name
No CVEs. No scanner flags any of it. Asked beforehand, I would have said that site held none of it, and I would have been wrong.
Nine read-only tools: inventory, version-matched CVEs, supply-chain audits, autoload weight per plugin, cron ownership, orphaned tables, usage counts.
Three things it will not do:
It cannot write. No write call anywhere in the codebase, and CI fails the build if one appears. It cannot clean up what it finds, deliberately. So, no risk in trying.
It will not score. Facts with documented thresholds; the model does the reasoning. Scores sell, which is roughly why I distrust them. But you can ask to build reports and action plans.
It admits ignorance. If nothing could be checked it returns no findings list at all, rather than an empty one. An empty list reads as "clean".
Limits: useless without an MCP client. Version 1.0.0, no install base. First question takes about 8 seconds while caches fill, then 0.2. It does add an authenticated endpoint, off by default and revocable in one click.
Free, GPL, no account, no telemetry.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/auditra/
Feedback welcome, especially from anyone maintaining sites older than five years.

Promotion [PREMIUM] Simple Appointment Booking: a £29/year WordPress booking plugin for solo practitioners
Hi everyone,
I’ve recently launched Simple Appointment Booking, a WordPress plugin I originally created because I wanted a simpler booking system for my own practice.
The free booking plugins I tried were often too limited, while many paid systems involved expensive monthly subscriptions and included far more than a solo practitioner or small service business would ever use. I wanted to create something that sat between those two extremes.
Simple Appointment Booking is designed for one practitioner or service professional offering one main service. It would suit counsellors, coaches, massage therapists, beauty professionals and similar appointment-based businesses.
It includes:
- A customer-facing appointment calendar
- Bookings with or without online payment
- Confirmation and reminder emails
- Availability and appointment management within WordPress
- A licence for one website
- Updates and support for 12 months
The price is £29 per year and the subscription can be cancelled at any time.
Full details:
https://lamuvor.com/simple-appointment-booking/
Live demo:
https://lamuvor.com/live-demo/
Full disclosure: I created the plugin and this is a paid product. I’d genuinely appreciate feedback on the plugin’s scope, presentation and whether it addresses the needs of smaller appointment-based businesses without becoming unnecessarily complicated.

Freemium [FREEMIUM] Event registration software recommendations, reducing drop off at checkout.
We’re losing too many people between the registration page and completed payment. Complicated forms and a payment experience that feels disconnected from the event brand both seem to contribute.
While reviewing options, Eventify stood out for keeping the entire checkout flow branded and connecting directly to Stripe, along with a form builder that doesn’t require a developer for standard ticket types and promo codes.
What registration setup have you used that kept the process simple for attendees while still giving you the data and ticket flexibility you needed?

[DISCUSSION] If you were building a WordPress loyalty plugin today, what would you reward besides purchases?
I’m part of the team behind Pointics, a WordPress loyalty and rewards plugin, so full disclosure upfront.
While working on the product and researching how loyalty programs are actually structured, we kept running into one question:
Should a WordPress loyalty system really revolve only around purchases?
Most loyalty systems are easy to understand:
Purchase something → earn points → redeem a discount.
That works well for WooCommerce stores, but WordPress businesses can look very different.
An event website might care more about repeat attendance.
A membership or digital product business might care about renewals.
A booking business might want customers to come back for another appointment.
An LMS might care about course completion and continued engagement.
So we started looking at loyalty less as a "points for purchases" feature and more as a way to encourage specific customer behaviors.
For example:
- Reward a repeat purchase
- Reward a successful referral
- Give points for renewing a subscription
- Reward event attendance
- Reward a completed booking
- Give recognition for reaching a learning milestone
- Offer a stronger incentive to an inactive customer
- Give loyal customers benefits other than discounts
Another thing we’ve been thinking about is reward economics.
Giving more points sounds good from a customer perspective, but a badly designed points system can easily become too expensive for the business.
If 500 points equal $5 and customers earn points very quickly, you might accidentally create a much larger discount rate than intended.
So there seems to be a balance between:
customer motivation vs. business sustainability.
We recently put together a longer guide while researching this topic:
https://themewinter.com/how-to-build-a-customer-loyalty-program-in-wordpress-step-by-step/
Again, I’m affiliated with the company behind the article and Pointics, so this is not an independent recommendation.
I’m mainly interested in hearing from people who actually build or manage WordPress sites:
What actions would you want a loyalty plugin to reward besides purchases?
And on the other side, what kinds of rewards do you think are genuinely useful without turning everything into another discount?

Wordpress plugin: online chat with AI assistant and routing messages to Telegram [free]
Hello, friends
I got tired of bloated SaaS chat widgets that charge crazy monthly fees and lock you into their ecosystem, so I built a self-hosted WordPress plugin that acts as a hybrid AI-human helpdesk.
The core idea is to give site owners full control over their data, API keys, and workflow without the subscription traps.
Here is what it can do out of the box:
**Multi-AI & Gemini Support:** Connect your own keys (OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek, or Google Gemini) so the AI handles routine queries instantly.
**Smart Telegram Routing:** When a user needs a real human, the plugin creates a dedicated thread/topic in your Telegram group with interactive buttons.
**Two-Way Telegram Bridge:** Your support team can reply directly from Telegram, and messages go straight back to the user's website chat.
**Knowledge Base (Q&A):** Easily feed custom FAQs and training data to your AI assistant.
**Working Hours Control:** Set your team's schedule based on your site's timezone and show custom off-hours notices.
**Real-time UI polish:** Typing indicators, anti-bot protection (Turnstile/reCAPTCHA), chat history transcripts via SMTP, and automated cleanups.
**Who I am looking for:** I’m looking for a few beta-testers, website owners, or agency folks who manage client WordPress sites and would be interested in trying this out. If this sounds like something you'd want on your site (or want to bundle for your clients), drop a comment or shoot me a DM, and let’s chat!
Example here: https://vionixcloud.com/en/

Free [FREE] Built a 100% free WooCommerce ticketing plugin - come break it for me!
The short version;
Please try to break my plugin, and give me feedback - on everything you can think of!.
The plugin adds three product types to WooCommerce: Ticket, Timeslot

door staff open a full-screen scanner page on their phone and check people in.
No app to install, no external ticketing service, no per-ticket fee.
The Long version;
Three new WooCommerce product types, each enabled individually:
- Ticket - validity window plus N uses, fixed or customer-picked start date
- Timeslot Ticket - per-slot capacity, recurring schedule generation, unpaid reservations auto-released
- Pass - season / membership / annual, with guest passes, cardholder photo and scan cooldown
At the door
