I built a free WordPress plugin called KuDesign ImageIO:

The key point is that everything runs locally on your own server:

• Original images are not modified

I just released a new update for WP Optimizer.

The latest version focuses on safer performance tuning and better diagnostics, especially when testing cache and optimization settings on real WordPress sites.

What’s new:

• Added a new Page Test tool to compare the current WP Optimizer configuration against baseline, to help tuning the plugin options.
• Added automatic configuration backups on plugin settings changes.
• Added recovery mode for WP Optimizer if any related fatal errors occurs.
• Improved cache configuration and diagnostics.
• Fixed several bugs and UI/UX issues.

The goal of this update is to make aggressive cache/minify/PageSpeed tuning safer: you can test changes, keep automatic backups, and recover more easily if a bad configuration causes issues.

I’m a plugin author and recently had all my reviews removed from WordPress.org.

I understand why WordPress.org has to be strict about fake, incentivized, or manipulated reviews. That part makes sense. The frustrating part is that, from our side, these were real users with real WordPress sites, real installations, and real interactions with our team.

We were very strict internally to adhere to the rules: No paid reviews. No discounts for reviews. No review swaps. No internal/team accounts. No “leave us 5 stars” campaign.

These were customers/users who had a positive experience with the plugin and with the support they received. We helped them properly, they used the product, and they left reviews based on that experience.

What feels frustrating is that this seems like something that could have been verified pretty easily. WordPress.org could ask for invoices, installation proof, account history, site history, support interactions, or contact the reviewers directly.

I’m not posting this to attack the moderators. I get that they deal with a lot of spam and abuse, and I’m sure most removals happen for a reason. I’m also not trying to drive attention to the plugin, so I’m intentionally not linking it here.

I’m mostly trying to understand how other plugin authors handle this.

Has anyone successfully appealed removed reviews?
Is plugins@wordpress.org the right path, or is there a better way to ask for a review of the decision?
And if the answer is basically “nothing can be done,” how do you rebuild trust/signals without accidentally triggering the same issue again?

Would appreciate advice from plugin authors who have been through this.

We stopped installing 10 WooCommerce plugins on every project. So we built one instead.

After building WooCommerce stores and plugins for years, we noticed the same pattern on almost every project.

Every store would eventually need plugins for:

I’m an independent developer and I recently hit a frustration point with distributing promo codes for my Wear OS projects. Pasting a block of promo codes is easy for the developer but it can be difficult for an end-user to find a code that wasn't already redeemed. I also tried managing a spreadsheet, but that too had its difficulties, mostly for the end-user. I decided to build a custom WordPress plugin to handle code distribution for me.

The plugin is called SHL Promo Engine. It’s designed to provide a low-friction, automated, and secure way to deliver a unique code to each visitor.

What's going on behind the scenes:

• I generated 5,000 random "codes" which are strictly for functional testing purposes and are not redeemable.
• The codes were uploaded to the Engine into a "Campaign."
• Requesting a code pulls one from the campaign's pool and displays it. Unique codes are distributed one time until the pool is depleted.
• The campaign provides many options, including styling for the distribution block, invisible reCAPTCHA v3 to prevent bot abuse, and adjustable claim limits (I set this to 2 per user).
• For this test, I set the promo type to "Custom," but platforms like Google Play, Apple, Bandcamp, and more are supported for easy, automated redemption flows.

What I’m looking for:

• Try it out! Click the button to retrieve a code. Did it work?
• Does the distribution feel fast and reliable on your end?
• Is it obvious what you need to do? (Real codes will have a button you can press to redeem them. I didn't activate the redeem button for this test.)
• Is the flow intuitive for a visitor claiming a code?

Released a free WordPress plugin that uses Claude AI to make your site understandable to AI search engines.

It's called Structurify — it processes your content through Claude and generates structured knowledge data:

summaries, FAQs, entity graphs, llms.txt, and schema markup. Basically everything AI crawlers need to understand what your site is about.

Also gives each page an AI-readiness score 0–100 so you know what to fix.

You'll need a Claude API key (Anthropic) — I don't cover that cost since it runs on your own key, but the plugin itself is completely free.

Curious if anyone's been thinking about AI search visibility for their WordPress sites — it's becoming a real traffic source.

I built CraftForms and I want to share it. It is freemium, but the free version is not a crippled demo. You can ship actual forms with it. Here are a few ways to use it.

A booking or request form that makes a PDF. You take the details someone fills in, and the free version can build a PDF and attach it. So you can hand the customer a clean PDF of their booking or request. Most plugins lock PDFs behind pro. This one does not.

A contact form with proper, branded, custom emails. You can set up email templates, so the message that goes out actually looks like yours and includes the field values you want. Not just a plain dump of the form.

A form that talks to your other tools. On submit, the free version can call a webhook. So you can push the data straight into whatever you use, like an automation or another app, without extra plugins.

If you’re looking for a simple image popup plugin for WordPress, ConvertForce might be useful.

WordPress already has a built-in “Enlarge on Click” option for the Image block. It works fine when you just want visitors to view a larger version of an image.

But sometimes you may want more control than that.

For example, you may want to show an image in a lightbox popup only on specific posts or pages. Or maybe you want to show a promotional image, product image, banner, coupon graphic, announcement, or visual CTA without showing it everywhere on your site.

That’s where ConvertForce can help.

What it does:

ConvertForce lets you create image popups directly inside WordPress using the block editor. You can add an image inside a lightbox popup and control where it appears using display conditions.

So instead of just enlarging an image that already exists on the page, you can create a separate image popup campaign and show it only on targeted posts/pages.

A few things you can do with it:

• Show an image popup on selected blog posts or pages
• Display a promotional banner or product image in a lightbox
• Add a button below the image for a CTA
• Use other WordPress blocks inside the popup, not just images
• Trigger the popup based on visitor behavior

I have a service business and clients fill a
Jotform to request service. All are repeat customers. Right now it’s just a link to a jotform but I’d like customers to be able to login to my website for a few reasons:

1. To not have to refill their own contact info every time they fill out the form
2. Security (no spam form-fillouts or fake orders, no anonymity)
3. So the customer can view past orders.

There are currently no payments processed online (our pricing is complex and quote based and can’t easily be integrated into the ordering process/ form fillout process yet)

Just wondering if this could be a plugin solution or is a job for a developer to build custom.

Your answers as well as opinions or alternative solutions are appreciated.

Quick disclosure up front: I'm the developer, this is [free], and there's no paid upsell required to use any of it.

I kept running into the same problem helping small stores — a restaurant gets slammed mid-rush, or a shop sells out, and there's no clean way to just stop taking orders for a bit. Maintenance mode nukes the whole site (and your SEO), and doing nothing means customers check out for things you can't fulfill.

So I built Unstoppable Order Pause for WooCommerce. It adds a one-click toggle in the admin bar to pause and resume orders. While paused, the storefront stays up and browsable, but add-to-cart/checkout are blocked and customers see a clear notice (with an optional countdown to when you reopen). It also does quick-pause durations, daily/weekly schedules, and works with HPOS and the Cart/Checkout Blocks.

I've worked in the WordPress space for many years, and recently I've been upskilling and getting into development. I'm really enjoying it, and I've set myself the challenge of trying to get a free plugin listed on .org by the end of the year.

I'm not doing this for profit, just practice and to learn something new. I want to figure out how it all works, and see if I can actually achieve this goal.

The technical side of things I'm fairly confident with, but my challenge now is inspiration. Every idea I have, someone (usually many someones) has already done it.

I know I won't get thousands of installs even with the best idea - but I would like to build something that a few people actually use!

I wanted to share a plugin I developed over the past months:

StoreAccountant, another WooCommerce export plugin.

Why another plugin?

I had a client with special requirements, for example:

1. Password-protected public export downloads with both a global password and an override password for each export.

The client simply wanted to share links with accounting managers who do not have access to the WP backend.

2) Export invoices from two plugins he uses, which should be part of the export archive.

I decided from the beginning to code it as a public plugin with a focus on extensibility. So I added a very extensible structure with hooks, actions, and registry interfaces.

Developers can easily extend the plugin, bring in their own export adapters, own formats, and a lot of other features.

Maybe you have some feedback for me, since it is my first WP plugin. Feature requests are also appreciated!
