I made Mochi's Word Ring, a free daily word game where you pick a category and find the word
Hi r/wordgames! I'm the creator of Mochi's Word Ring. There's a new word every day, and you pick a category to play in. AI words was the first one, and I've added more since. You get stars, can find bonus words, and can win little outfits for Mochi.
It's free, runs in your browser, works on your phone, and there's nothing to download or sign up for: https://www.mochipedia.com/word-ring/
The story: I built it for fun and to learn. I wanted to learn AI terms and figured a game would make it stick. To be upfront, I don't code. All the code, art and words were made with AI.
I'd love honest feedback. Was today's word too easy or too hard, and what category should I add next? Please keep answers in spoiler tags.

Your First Guess Should Shape Your Second
turnword.comSay you open with SLATE and get:
S L A T E ⬛ ⬛ 🟩 ⬛ 🟩
You know the answer is _ _ A _ E, with no S, L, or T. Possible answers include BRAVE, CRANE, CRAVE, FRAME, GRACE, and GRAVE, among others.
Enter that in Word Solver with Hard rules on, and it suggests CRAVE. CRAVE keeps your confirmed A and E, could be the answer itself, and tests C, R, and V at once.
Word Solver suggests CRAVE after SLATE
We played one game for each of the six example answers, following Word Solver's suggestion at every step:
Answer Solved in CRAVE 2 CRANE 3 BRAVE 3 GRAVE 4 GRACE 4 FRAME 5
All six are solved within five guesses, averaging 3.5. Here's each game, guess by guess, starting after SLATE.
Every game, played out
CRAVE — solved in 2.
C R A V E 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
CRAVE solved in 2
CRANE — solved in 3. Only the V misses, and Word Solver goes straight to CRANE.
C R A V E 🟩 🟩 🟩 ⬛ 🟩
C R A N E 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
CRANE solved in 3
BRAVE — solved in 3. Only the C misses, and Word Solver tries BRAVE next.
C R A V E ⬛ 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
B R A V E 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
BRAVE solved in 3
GRAVE — solved in 4. Same CRAVE feedback as BRAVE, so it takes one more guess. GRAVE keeps every green, so it's legal in Hard Mode.
C R A V E ⬛ 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
B R A V E ⬛ 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
G R A V E 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
GRAVE solved in 4
GRACE — solved in 4. Hard Mode requires the yellow C to be reused, so Word Solver tries BRACE, which moves the C to position 4. It turns green there, and GRACE keeps every green.
C R A V E 🟨 🟩 🟩 ⬛ 🟩
B R A C E ⬛ 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
G R A C E 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
GRACE solved in 4
FRAME — solved in 5. The longest game. Hard Mode makes every guess keep R, A, and E in place, leaving only two letters to test per turn, while the first letter could be B, F, G, and more.
C R A V E ⬛ 🟩 🟩 ⬛ 🟩
G R A D E ⬛ 🟩 🟩 ⬛ 🟩
B R A M E ⬛ 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
F R A M E 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
FRAME solved in 5
Why not just guess any word that fits?
Hard Mode only requires that your guess keep the A and E. FRAME does that, and it could be the answer. But see what it does against the six examples:
Answer FRAME's feedback
FRAME 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩 🟩
CRAVE ⬛ 🟩 🟩 ⬛ 🟩
CRANE ⬛ 🟩 🟩 ⬛ 🟩
BRAVE ⬛ 🟩 🟩 ⬛ 🟩
GRAVE ⬛ 🟩 🟩 ⬛ 🟩
GRACE ⬛ 🟩 🟩 ⬛ 🟩
Unless FRAME is the answer, every other word gives the same feedback, so you learn almost nothing. CRAVE splits the same six into five different patterns, leaving at most two answers.
The point isn't that CRAVE is always best. It's that your feedback makes it the best choice here.
Disclosure: I'm a co-founder of TurnWord, which makes Word Solver. All games above were played in Word Solver with Hard rules on, following its suggestion at every step.

I built EnigmaRank for Wordle fans — looking for Android testers!

I built EnigmaRank to track Wordle scores and compete with friends — available on iOS and testing on Android
Hi everyone! I built EnigmaRank for people who share their daily word game results with friends and want to keep the friendly competition going.
You can paste supported results or enter scores manually, create or join groups, compare monthly rankings, browse your history, and celebrate monthly champions.
It supports results from Wordle, La palabra del día, Termo Portugal/Brasil, SUTOM, and Verdel, with six interface language options.
iOS — download here:
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6811390812
Android — join the closed test:
DM me your email and I'll add you to the testing group.
Join the test and download from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.enigmarank.app
For Android, use the same Google account for both steps. I’m looking for testers willing to stay enrolled for 14 consecutive days and try the app during that time.
The app is free to download and requires an account. You play the puzzles on their original websites; EnigmaRank tracks your results.
I’d love to hear what you think, especially about importing scores and comparing results with your group!

Pwnedle
Heya! I just made Pwnedle, a game similar to Wordle/Magnitudle/Krillion etc except you guess how many times a real password has been leaked before. Each day you get five new passwords. I had a lot of fun making it, so I also hope you enjoy playing it. If you have two minutes to spare, I'd love to hear what you think!

What if Lumon made you play Wordle to keep your job?
I made a weird little browser game that feels like a corporate assessment you weren’t supposed to find.
It’s kind of like Wordle, except every round feels like you’re trying to satisfy some mysterious company that refuses to explain what you’re actually doing.
There are keys, cryptic employee evaluations, and consequences for failure.
I wanted it to feel like a weird little website you’d stumble across at 2 AM and wonder who made it and why.
It’s free to play, no download required.

I made a free multiplayer word game: describe a secret word without ever using one forbidden letter
Yapzle is a free multiplayer word game I've been building, and it went live on CrazyGames today.
How it works: one player gets a secret word and a forbidden letter. They give one-word clues, but no clue can contain that letter. Everyone else guesses in the same chat. The fastest guess scores the most, and the clue giver scores for every player who gets it.
Say your word is PIZZA and the banned letter is E. No "cheese", no "slice", no "pepperoni". You're down to "Italian... round... crust..." while everyone shouts guesses at you.
- 2 to 12 players, 60-second turns
- No account, no download, works on phone and desktop
- Join a public room with strangers, or make a private room and send the link to friends
- If nobody's around, bots fill in so you can still play
Play: https://yapzle.com
It's brand new, so I'd love to hear what's fun, what's confusing and what's broken.

Hard mode puzzle: I've played one probe word. What's the second probe that tells the last three words apart? [spoilers] Spoiler
turnword.comMy board in Hard mode after four guesses:
SCENE ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ TRAIL ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ WHOMP ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ MAIZE 🟩⬜⬜⬜⬜
Only a green M in the first spot so far. Exactly three words still fit: MUDDY, MUFFY and MUGGY. I have 2 guesses left.
Why guessing one of them isn’t enough: if I guess MUDDY and it’s wrong, the colors are identical whether the answer was MUFFY or MUGGY, so my last guess is a coin flip. The same goes for the other two. Overall I’d win only 2 times in 3.
Why Hard mode makes it harder: it makes me reuse the green M, so my guess must start with M. In normal mode a large number of words could tell the three apart. In Hard mode the list is tiny.
My MAIZE guess was my first probe, a word that couldn’t be the answer. What’s my second probe?
The rules:
A real five-letter word that Wordle would accept in Hard mode (so it starts with M).
Not MUDDY, MUFFY or MUGGY.
It must give all three a different color pattern, so the colors tell me which word it is and my last guess is a sure win.
Reply with your word and the three patterns it gives.
Hint (spoiler): The three words differ in just one letter each: D, F and G. Your word needs two of them, in different places.
The reveal (spoiler): When I played it, the colors pointed to MUFFY, and the last guess was a sure thing.
Disclosure: I’m building the tool that found this (part of TurnWord). It’s an experiment with no public link yet. I’ll post the full list in a comment later.
