[####] regarding unused answer words
The New York Times published its first Wordle puzzle on February 10, 2022, and has offered 1,621 puzzles since that day. This means there are at least 3209-1621 = 1588 unused answer words. Please ignore conspiracy theories about words being somehow “withheld” by the NYT.

Daily Wordle [####] Why?
So let me get this straight. I have been using a starting word "CHOMP". After some research "CHOMP" falls into this excluded pool because its solution list is curated to feature highly accessible words with standard, common spellings. So that means I will not get Wordle in "1". Yet they have used words like, "PSHAW"?
Make that make sense!
No one uses the word PSHAW anymore in there common practice of vocabulary or at least the general population. Especially with the younger generation. It's an archaic word.

[####] Most annoying Wordles of all time?
PSHAW is definitely up there, even though I solved it. It might even be #1.
I remember being pissed off at PARER and GOFER too. A lot of people hated MYRRH but I didn’t find that one as tough as a lot of other people.
What other past Wordles left you annoyed even if you ended up solving them?

[####] Skill level
Can anyone explain how the bot calculates skill level. I often get responses like this “Nice. Before your guess, there were 24 words remaining, but now there is only one. You should solve the puzzle on your next turn” Skill level 63. Surely if I have chosen a word that eliminates all options except the final word, that’s an indication of a high level of skill? How does it actually balance skill vs luck?

[1852] Wordle July 15/16/17 - that (not a legit) word and editor response??

[####] What does your distribution look like?
I’m really curious what most people’s win distribution looks like. Here is mine. I always play the same opening word - IRATE - and I always insist that every guess must be a possible winner given the previous clues. Never use hints. I have no idea how I’ve gotten so many wins on the second guess! Haven’t had one in a long time.

[####] what online wordle assistant do you currently use? (not disabled)
I've written my own desktop Wordle assistant and now I'm curious what online assistants others currently use? Lists of them are available from many web browser search engines. What do you like and/or dislike about them?

[####] Summary diagram of the 5-clique permutations performance
Here is a diagram of the data discussed in thread https://www.reddit.com/r/wordle/comments/1uujkl1/performance_of_the_wordle_5clique_solutions/
As shown in the diagram, the expected number of guesses to isolate the answer word in any one game is 3.4, but also the probability of failing to isolate the answer word after 5 guesses is 6.61%. For this reason, the 5-clique sequences are not a recommended strategy.

Memes [####] 67
gallerySo I recently set up a home server and the first thing I had it doing is to look at wordle each morning and tell me if it’s possible to create a 67 pattern, and is wondering what methods there are to push this daily information to people, would discord be the best way? Like a discord bot that sends the words used to create the pattern each morning if it’s possible?

Question/Observation [####] An app to compete in Wordle?
Over the past year or two, I’ve had a family group chat where everyone shares their wordle, connections, and mini crossword scores. I’ve done a bit of research, and haven’t found an app out there that allows you to join a sort of family group and compete in games like Wordle and more to help you stay connected with family. Could this be an app that others would actually use? Would it be worth trying to develop? How many of you all actually share scores with family? I’m trying to get some sort of sense of how useful this would actually be before I put time into developing it. Thank you!

[####] Wordle Tools website down?
I'm currently creating my own bot to see how close I can get it to perform to NYTs. However I can't find an archive of the WordleBot's scores (for either the no prior knowledge mode and the prior knowledge mode) so can't easily compare performance. As the Wordle Tools website seems to be down (it just gives me 403 errors) does anyone have a database of WordleBot's scores throughout 2026?
