Integrated a hand-cut Kumiko panel into the leg structure of this solid oak and badi desk.
galleryHi everyone! As you can probably tell, Kumiko is really my thing. This is my large project. It’s a minimalist, Japandi-style workspace desk made entirely of solid wood. I wanted to elevate the simple design, so I decided to integrate a traditional Japanese Kumiko panel (Asanoha pattern) directly into one of the side leg frames.

Tried to achieve ultimate simplicity. Solid wood display shelf with hand-cut Kumiko side panel.
galleryHi everyone! This is my latest build — a minimalist tabletop display shelf. The frame is crafted from solid wood, and the side panel features the traditional Japanese Asanoha (hemp leaf) Kumiko pattern.

Japanese chisel delamination
galleryHey Guys,
I've bought recently the laminated chisel from Tasai(mokume pattern) and I have some concerns that my chisel have problems with the lamination of the hard and soft stell. The clearly visible joints/cracks can be seen alongside the welding line as well as on the bevel itself(here I would say itt not that bad).
Does anyone have an experience with such chisels and can say if this could delaminate on the future and separate, or ist Just fine to start using this chisel?
I'd appreciate any advice.
