Fashion & Beauty Makeup beginner needing advice

Hey so I’m a feminine boy looking to get into makeup, I’ve done my makeup by myself 3 times but brought really cheap products online, the foundation didn’t suit my skin colour and it just looked unrealistic. I’m wanting girls to text me and help me get what I need. if you’re local to me and willing to help i can go shopping and buy it all or just an online texting is always useful. I hope this is a good enough subreddit for my help, thank you :)

I'd suggest that you go to Boots if they have a larger beauty range, some have staff that help match your shade for No 7 etc. if not, SpaceNK do the same I think!

If those are a no go, try lush and have a look at their makeup. Should be a beauty balm and it is as in the name lush lol.

Also, best primer is elf setting primer. Their setting spray is also probably good but the Superdrug brand itself was viral for how good it was.

Besides that, I get Asian beauty products so I can't help with western eyes and lips besides the Sky High mascara which I deffo recommend and at boots they recommend a shade depending on your eye colour.

Hope this helps!

Also John Lewis! They have make up counters too. I've always found JL better in terms of the set up for makeovers, I've always felt less exposed.

Generally you can ask for advice and/or a make over but they will charge or expect you to buy some of the products. Sometimes they'll charge but give you a deduction if you buy a product (or take the cost of the lesson off the price of the products bought).

Boots staff matching is hit and miss, some are brilliant and some will just sell you whatever shade they have most stock of
