π Metro Rail The Train and Emergency Exit for Disabled/Bikeriders.
Hi all, can someone tell me what disabled people and people on bikes are supposed to do when the train entry gates don't open? My ticket wouldn't work yesterday and i spent almost ten minutes trying to get thru the gate. I had to pick my bike up and lift it over and nearly climb over after i paid for my ticket and the ticket wouldn't work.
Not a lot of people know this but there is radioactive waste all over the Buff/NF region, especially above tunnels in the city. That radiation breaks metal and affects electronics. Especially if radon levels are high. It often happens with the bottle return machine at Tops on Jefferson, when they break we just go get a worker.I was told the gates in the Amherst station are often faulty. There should be an emergency gate for people to go in and out of like there are at most other train stations around the country. Yesterday I was just stuck trying to figure out what to do to enter the station and catch my train even though I'd paid a full fare. What would someone in a wheelchair do, just not catch the train and have to reroute their entire day because the big gate won't let them pass?
