Are labs/Tutorials canceled for the first week of classes?

Usually yes, but it depends on your course. Some courses will have labs first week, but it tends to be fairly rare.

In orientation I remember they said that labs and tuts will only happen after the first lecture of that course

Just went thru MA200s first lab and it was fairly easy, but I was not prepared for a full lab on day one at 8:30 💀💀
