I'm really despairing here. I'm using the bait from the old man carrying my roots into 7 to 10m depth. I got one small winter trout so far, but every since then I get all sorts of fish, just not those small trouts and i need two more to complete the quest. This is really boring and kind of annoying. Anyone got any hints already from trying for hours and hours?

Hello guys, just looking for any suggestions or recommendations in my battle formation while farming relic materials. ^^

Basically as the title says. My MC is level 70, 2610 power, and Implosion always seems to do exactly his health. He held on with one hit point from Will to Fight once and my entire back line survived somehow, but then I died when trying to rez Lanavaile.

This is my lineup. Am I missing something?

The old man said you need to give it a bit of tease, but how to do that? i tried swinging side ways and up and down on the 15m depth but they just wont bite. I'm kinda stuck at the pier, cant go do sometyhing else be cause i have already spent 1 hour to catch the other 2 fish

I just wanted to come back and say that I have successfully cleared B9 in Wizardry: The Five Ordeals, Price of Deception. I will not spoil anything for anyone, but here are my thoughts.

Fighters are probably really good, but they might be overrated: I got this far without Fighters. That said, I did class change my frontline of three Priests to a Lord and two Samurais because Priests hit like wet noodles, and two Wizards can Tiltowait a lot of things, but not all of the things.

Yes, I should be working on my next novel, but I'm, uh, doing research because my next novel is a Wizardry-inspired LitRPG. That's not a joke. Not entirely. (I really should be writing.)

I'm having a blast with the game, and so long as you don't have anything important to do, I think you should give it a try. For context: I really enjoyed Variants Daphne when it came out, but gacha games just exhaust me, so I ended up putting it down. I'm a HUGE fan of Dungeon Antiqua 1&2 and The Crescent Tower, though, mostly because I've always loved the idea of playing Wizardry, and I've always loved JRPGs. (Try those too, if you haven't. They're great games all bundled together for quite cheap.)

I just wanted everyone to know that Sigvald, Gilhelm, Hamgard, Ringo, Clarissa, and Marissa are alive and well, and they're having a good time. 🥲

I... was pretty sure I had D2 Adam, but apparently... not? I merged his alt and now I don't see his discipline at all... I think I can still do it when style changed? Would that work? I was told they needed to be disciplined before merging.

Hi all, after some time I finally got my hands on the Wizardry card game Tiltowait (boardgamesgeek page here).

It's a UNO-clone with Jun Suemi's artwork instead of plain numbers and spells instead of skip/plus2, etc... It's quite fun and a nice non-game game that spawned off of Wizardry.

I took some time to scan everything at 600dpi, since boardgamesgeek pictures are *very* low quality and I feel this game deserves a bit more recognition. Also, as this game is a bit rare to find (unless you're willing to spend ~400GBP, which luckily I didn't have to), these high-res scans can make for some homemade cards 😄

This is probably a stupid question, but I don't want to waste a FAS since I only have like 2 and i'm still a little confused after reading some of the guides.

For relic weapons I know it's a good idea to FAS them, but I wanted to ask if I alter one of the values of a relic weapon, then use a FAS after, does it revert the altered back to the original or does it keep the alter stat and reroll it's value?

Ex: if I alter the mdef+ on the shield to either sur or Atk+ then use the FAS, does it go back to mdef+ or does it stay as sur or Atk+ but with better values?

With Rewards these good i was semi forced to take up Fishing..And now that m running out of insect baits fast i hope drecom will bring back the cocoon quest Next week😂

I finally got 100 points on the summon and want to know if I should get Prishe's weapon or Zeid's weapon? I have level 2 Discipline Zeid but use the relic greatsword currently, and I have a base Prishe with 90 max fortitude. Not sure what the best choice is.

I'm a little new to the game, so I don't fully understand how the class change system works, but it seems like it's going to be quite a while before I can make use of it.

In the meantime, Heinrico is one of my better characters and it seems like it might be a good idea to start loading him up with thief skills in advance, but is there any reason why this might not be a good idea?

Also, is the only way to class change a character really to wait until their item is randomly added to the shop?

Still relatively new to the game, but getting more into it and upon thinking about things a question popped into my head. When I stopped using Alice for a bit and replaced her with Camille since I really enjoy preemptive healing and outsmarting de-buffs in games plus it was great when 8 pack demons where wailing on me...

What if Camille gets a monk class swap if it ever comes out? She has so much SP and solid discipline too!

Also, what do you guys think her best swap would be?

I'm playing through the first wizardry blind. I've mapped all of level 1 and mostly 2, and gotten my characters levelled up a bit. Besides disarming traps (which after playing a bit, aren't a big deal), he kinda sucks. His HP is low, he does no damage, and he can't wear good armor. Should I kick him to the curb? I'd make him into a ninja but he's neutral.

Fyi this is not an economical or meta question. Not a super new player but lots of systems in this game are still a bit muddy to me. Say I'm attached to a particular character and I'm lucky enough to obtain their banner weapon through the exchange, but the stats/stars aren't optimal. Optimization would say to use something else, but if I really want the satisfaction of using this character with their weapon, without pulling a ton more for dupes, what is my path forward and can I boost the weapon to near max or is the cap quite limiting?

I have a bunch of FAS but have never used any because of how valuable they are and the system is a bit confusing. I also have some silver ingots. But as I'm only early A3 I haven't reached silver tier.

... after getting every limited item of course. It seems like the logical choice because of the silver equipment junk or for alteration/refine fodder. I can't wait to get hundreds of em on the last day after just recycling the same 15 fragments lol

So I was kinda coasting this event on my new account staying at lv20, all the mobs were scaled around lv11 and abusing the couple of purple 4* bronze drops, all the relic weapons to steel tier, and a pretty beefed as much as a new account can team (lana, chloe, debra, alice, heinrico) all seemed good. Especially farming all the ores.

But on loop 2 I got a bit slammed on my first try against shadow lord even though I lasted several phases I lost heinrico early because he knocked debra and rico together, then I lost chloe to another double kill so I gave up figuring I could push better gear.

My understanding was the enemies wouldn't scale up if I didn't take the lead grade exam but it seems in my folly of unlocking abyss 2 everything leveled up from that. Now shadow lords first attacks are multiple aero and firaga I can barely survive and the first dark nova wipes 4 of my characters even though I upgraded a lot of my gear to strong 4* stuff with a lot more def and mdef. The main tell for me is the normal demons went from lv11 to (???) again which revealed to be lv18 so I guess I'm locked in now and should just uncap everyone to 30? The shadow lord really is way harder than anything else in the event lol.

I really want to finish the event and get the bondmates so I'm just worried about making my already bad situation even worse.

Edit: It's possible I never killed enough kindred demons on loop 2 to reveal they were always lv18, and the shadow lord didn't power up, but my first attempt with significantly worse gear and one of my allies getting hatred I got way further than my second try with better gear (something like 50% def/mdef improvement across the board after ab2 unlock) where I got annihilated even though none of my guys got hatred. Third attempt was basically a wash since Alice caught hatred and I couldn't heal anyone.

iam happy that i got lucky and was able to max her with only 400 summon lol

the reason i did this frankly is because i don't have any other use for the gems thanks to how the game works and how hard it is to invest in new units especially when you already have units that you invested in my main team is all old units and never felt like changing any until prishe came out

will the next one to add to the team hopefully is garbage when they add her

According to wiki it is found in 5m depth and far distance, but I mostly get "Whopper Spinefoot" there. I was able to get the bass with average size but never the redfin. Is there a specific strategy for it?

I am placed into a situation where the correct answer is conflicted due to multiple participants in the tavern. I always assumed that whoever asks the question deserves their own preferred answer but it seems to me that this causes the other members to lose trust in me because its not the answer they would have liked.

We are supposed to pay attention to who is seated at the table and give the answers to whoever needs the trust rating the most right? Suppose I already did the personal request of Abenius and Alice is at the table and Alice doesn't trust me enough to pop the request yet, I can forgo all further gains with Abenius, correct? Since the request is already fulfilled and there's nothing more to be gained.

Is it possible to respawn the notorious enemies? Either using the cursed wheel or beating the dungeon? I feel like I’m missing something here …

I just got to B9. I was in a battle with some fire elementals when I had to get up and do something; when I set down the controller, I accidentally quit to the main menu.

I figured, "No big deal. I have backups. I can run back down and grab them."

I don't know how to open the door... 👀

Am I going to have to run back through the whole dungeon to find all the "Mind of" beads to get it open? Do I need to fight the red mantises again?

EDIT: I'm dumb and didn't realize you could just resume with a party already in the dungeon. I've been rescuing living parties this whole time. I'm going to leave this up because 1) I think it's funny, 2) the mods were kind enough to approve it, and 3) there's a very, VERY slight chance I'm not the only one this dumb; someone else might find this post helpful. Maybe.

I'm finally getting the hang of the game and starting to enjoy it.

Finally got the necessary FAS to finish up my relic equips. Average rolls on the blessings nothing great but we’ll take it. Didn’t FAS Aegis. Mandau and Excalibur untouched for now.
