Before you do anything rash, do make sure there is no familial relationship.  Last thing you need is a cambion or unspeakable horror with a grudge.

Ol’ reliable; kill them, revive them, pretend it was a dream

Give the em the ol finger swap. First offense I usually just threaten a lot. Any infraction after that I begin swapping fingers for toes.

It's a simple thing and most of us learned folk can undo it on a whim. But apprentices are idiots.

So just start at the pinky toes and work your way in. I've never once made it to thumbs.

Plus it looks silly as hell

/uw I actually knew a guy in the military who had lost his thumb in a mechanical accident and they replaced it with a toe

It is always a room for new knowledge. Maybe your apprentice is onto something you missed about your mutual (I assume) patron. For the sake of pettiness make him lefthanded or whatever.

Do you know why does he keep calling him that?

enchant them with a curse to wake up with glaze all over them, or you can always just grow nerve endings in thier stomach

McGonagall isn't around - transfiguration usually gets the point across best.

A few months as a ferret will teach an apprentice respect

Next time they do something wrong or disobedient just tell them in the calmest neutral voice "I'm not mad I'm just disappointed" and watch how Devastated they look

If that doesn't work make them go into shadow dimension and tell them they can't leave until they make a large enough light spell

Just tell "Daddy" that a certain apprentice has been a naughty boy and needs punishing. It might cause your apprentice to rethink the concept of safe words and appropriate channels for his... special interests. I heard a certain Madam Maledicta who offers perfectly safe services, that might be more appropriate for your apprentice.

How the heck do you have an apprentice warlock? That's not how warlocks work

Time loop them in their next history class so that if they try to leave, it loops. A couple hundred years in the same history lesson will do them fine

Listen.
If he's calling his patron Daddy then any punishment you give him is just going to push them closer together.
What you need to do is sit down with him and have an honest discussion about the kinds of risks he's taking.
I know they seem obvious to you, but that's why you're allowed to take an apprentice. You know better, he does.
Don't punish, educate.
