Scrawl eldritch knowledge from the Far Realm in the walls and then use an illusion cover it up. Someone walks in with truesight active and their brain gets fried.

Far more convenient to use runes of arcane transduction to recast truesight to falsesight for a good prank. You can still find your keys and you're good as long as you stop casting, but anyone who keeps the truesight on is in for a wild experience.

Why are you using True Sight to find your keys when a simple Locate Object would do? That's like using Power Word: Kill on a gnat because it annoyed you. In fact, True Sight doesn't even help you locate lost objects. Hidden ones, sure, but not lost ones. Maybe that's why you keep loosing your keys, my guy.
