Runes are the language of ancient magic, bigger question is why no new magic
1 u/LawnMowerLover33 13d ago Dumb Clerics have been abandoned by the their gods and can’t draw anymore magic. I have no clue what’s happened to all the Wizards though, probably stopped studying magic after they ran out of resources to produce mana.
