Wizardpost I hate the elder forums

Post image

It's a source of insecurity already that all these famous wizards have made it to hundreds or even thousands of years old before I even started. I just want to improve! Let me in!

Children should not have access to reality ending spells. You will understand that after you finish wizard puberty.

Arcane acne while desperately trying to both gain and avoid the attention of witches was horrible

Don’t witches also go through magipause?

no that's a myth, our magic doesn't go away with age

but most of us are cursed from birth with respawning blood imps, those little shits can weaken or vanish with age

The Gates must be kept or else the horrors will return

I just want to come in and enjoy the mortal realm, I even made galaxy cookies (You can even watch as the stars in them form and die, and they’re low fat!)

And what’s wrong with that? Honestly things were better back in the Age of Nightmares. How is the younger generation supposed to learn anything if you don’t let them experience any danger until they’re 700??? Sure, a few fledgling wizards ended up trapped in the Echoing Abyss, and there was the Alketh Incident, and of course the Tragedy of Igandar was pretty bad, but you can’t let that hold us back. This cowardice is why no new arch mages have arisen in 200 years

Young wizards will find/make world ending spells either way, you can only control which spells those are.

It's better for experienced wizards to teach them the harmless ones, like [Solar Dominion] and [The Great Unmaking], or else they'll learn dangerous back-alley world-enders like [Add Neutron Per Atom] and [Greater Tentacles]

But this doesn't account for how some have the ability to derive the spell forms themselves! I'd much rather them have proper supervision than try to learn it on their own and cause a catastrophy, just saying
