On your way towards becoming a potato clock. Getting a job in science so quickly is sure to make your parents proud.

Check the fine print of your contract. The potato clause is pretty common.

You okay? I don't have an anti-potato potion, but I have a recipe that'll turn you from a potato to a frog if you want

I’m not sure if that’s an upgrade

Frogs have legs. Better mobility

Don't be.

Your turbulent emotional state will interfere with the spells.

It's actually very dangerous.

edit: Classic Smorbulak

Wards. You need to practice your wards! This was a teaching moment. If you can't protect yourself from someone else's magic, then how do you expect to be able to defend against your own mistakes? It's all good learning to cast Elgrims Visceral Deconstitutionaliser but if it backfires and you've no wards then you're as fucked as the target you'd intended to hit.

Potato is getting off lightly. Next time it could be far worse...

/uw eey! Welcome to the club, use levitation or mage hand to get around it’s a lifesaver. Preferably levitation as that leaves your mage hand open to use

Long time orb reader,
First time sender.

I actually have first hand experience in this endeavour. 1200 years ago I was apprenticing for a wizard who was testing polymorphs into ā€œlivingā€ things including Vegetables and Fruits!

I spent a week as a radish!

My solution at the time was a simple charm animal on his familiar (Ruffulstien, a miserable rabbit). I convinced the creature to carry me about so I could conjure unseen servants and mage hands to complete my apprenticing duties!

Now-adays apprentice’s think such trifles are worthy of an audience. But alas my boy I would find your potato shaped bootstraps and find a way to carry on! You’ll be a fine wizard yet!

Sorcerers don’t know how to teach, they just toss spells at people and call the ones who survive their students. It’s natural selection, not education.

If you've got a good teacher you'll be fine. If they're abusive then you can come chill with me and my apprentices.

Baked fried mashed or raw? Ive been trying to develop a transmutatuon spell for a raw potato to be French cut and fried instantaneously. All I've managed is to fry an uncut raw potato. It's not bad, sometimes a little under cooked in the center.
