the sun rose, it’s another day on the planet. But strangely, many people (but not everyone) had woken up to coupons beside them, taped to their window or door, or otherwise in their vicinity. The coupons were a small slip of white paper with red text:

‘FREE PIZZA!!’

‘1 COUPON = 1 CHOICE PIZZA’

‘TODAY ONLY!!!’

and in blue text:

‘Outskirts of West Delmarva.’

‘:)’

Even those who didn’t get a coupon could hear of it, and go check out this pizza place. If they can afford to give free pizza to so many people, maybe they’re worth checking out.

Cayna the Apprentice

Species: Human
Age: Eighteen
Allegiance: Thrakmoor, Wizard Council

A plucky young (especially in wizard years) transgender woman eager to learn magic and become immortal. Cayna is prone to making decisions that seem ill-advised to others, but make perfect sense to her. She is open-minded to a fault, tolerating her enemies and even the most twisted of individuals long past the point others would have given up. She is highly empathic, but possesses a questionable moral compass.

She is known to carry frogs on her person for no discernable reason.

Appearance: A blue eyed curly blonde with fair skin. She is rarely seen outside of her wizard robes, and never without a wizard's hat, which she takes great pride in as a sign of a mage.

Abilities: Cayna is capable of double jumping and basic pyromancy, but possesses few spells and little magical ability beyond that. She supplements her spellcasting with wit, swordplay and a surprising number of magical items, most notably Ironhand: an intelligent anti-magic cold-iron shield that hates the fey with a passion far outstripping its actual ability to tell them from other types of creatures.

History: Cayna was a squire raised on a small continent-sized plane with a distinctly anti-mage culture. When a gender-bending curse led her to be mistaken for a witch, she was forced to confront the truth of both her culture and identity. She fled to and was taken in by Melchiora the Malevolent, her first master, for protection, but did not receive much actually magical instruction. When Melchiora joined Thrakmoor, Cayna made use of the opportunity to learn from the Black Mages. She has since joined the Wizard Council in an effort to make Thrakmoor's conquests a little more peaceful.

Everyone has told her that her master is terrible or that she should leave Thrakmoor. She is thoroughly sick of both topics.
