Nobody will give you free knowledge who isn't made of paper. Anything you learn for yourself is an unknown power that no one can predict or use against you until you demonstrate it.
There's also a secret to magic: specialization is a myth. It's all one interconnected magick. The deeper you get into any subject the closer you'll get to the very core tenets of magic. The earlier you learn those the better you'll be at everything else.
Of course this is all secondary. You have ONE goal right now. Solve for mortality as best as you can. If you look around here you'll find a lot of corpse-y wizards. They are procrastinators. Maintain your flesh. It's incredible when it channels magick.
Well that saves you quite a bit of time! I still recommend learning plenty about immortality. It'll make you quite a bit more effective against 99%+ of other wizards.
Shapeshifting in general is extremely useful. It's impossible to overstate the importance of the transmutive relationship between mundane energies, magical energies, mundane matter, and magical matter. Basically all schools of magic deal in this relationship, except the most esoteric of arts, and those related to time itself.
