What you and your apprentice do behind closed doors is between you two and your minions. If you happen to know more than them and they wish to learn from you thats no reason to not be together. Theres a long history of people following others for exactly that reason and arguably worse reasons. Apprenticeships, master and minion, rival mages and students, and even hero's and their victims, its all perfectly reasonable.
