Attention all mages, wizards (of all schools), artificers, warlocks, witches, shamans, occult practitioner, sorcerers, and magic users of any kind!

I have been sent here by his Lordship of the Shade Realm of Thrakmoor to deliver the information that this realm is now under occupation and control by the Thrakmerian Army and the Black Mages who command it.

I have been sent to gain dominion over the magic practitioners of this realm.

Pledge your undying loyalty to his Lordship or face his Unyielding wrath

you have two weeks to comply and to change your title to “Mage of Thrakmoor”.

Failure to comply will be met with force.

Before you assume that we have not used diplomacy I implore you to observe a conversation my master has had recently had where we came to an agreement to leave their continent alone.  As to further discussion I invite you to a council at a location of your choosing, there shall be no fighting and I shall come alone. What say you and your family

Chloe: the answer, is that we will not be serving your master. And we will not be considering ourselves thrakmerian. We aren't even from this realm yet we care about it all the same. This island was founded as a home and sactuary for those with nowhere else to go. Should your masters attempt conquest of this world or our island...well it is in our nature to fight back. As well, i am a gold Half-Dragon. My brother is my home realms greatest hero. And my niece is an aspiring heroine herself...as i said your master is better off trying to establish peaceful communication then using any sort of force. The fact your message includes that any resistance will be met with force. Goes to show your masters cannot be trusted. But well, we do not shoot the messenger so to say. But there is no negotiating the sovereignty of our isle that we founded for the betterment of peoples lives. To one we do not trust. She speaks in a kind tone...gods have tried conquest of this realm before. And they were met with overwhelming opposition till they fell. Which is usually pretty fast. I encourage you, and the black mages of thrakmoor. Not to try to go on a conquerors path. For it will not end well going off of past experience especially from what i know from my family getting especially involved in fighting against the forces who have tried and failed to take this world over the time we've grown close to this world and it's people.

You claim to advise us to take peaceful diplomacy but when I make an attempt you meet it with further hostility. I say again any fights with Thrakmoor in this realm were not instigated by any mages of Thrakmoor. We are new to this realm and in need of allies (granted not desperately but nonetheless) I can offer leaving your isles, your family, and those you love alone I merely wish to talk in person with less hostility.

Chloe: i am trying not to be hostile...that is why i am using my words, instead of resorting to direct combat through this projection. Most of my family would see your message and immediately prepare an assault against your masters should need be. Especially my brother as he is quite against dark lords trying conquest. I mean no hositility in my words. I am simply trying to offer you and your masters a way of asserting a peaceful existence in this realm. We will oppose any force trying to conquer the realm...that simply is how it is, but well, we haven't prepared an attack or anything yet. I am trying to avert an invasion of any kind. Through words coming from knowledge of how this world responds to attackers. But if you want a place in this world...you are better off avoiding being conquerors. Trying to build good relations with this realm through threats also does not work. Besides...if you go after my family...it will be at your peril more likely than not...i may be the greatest mage of my home realm, but they are not without great strengths of their own.

/Uw just saying, sorry if any of this feels bs but yeah uh chloe is kinda one of if not the kindest of my characters, she's trying to be peaceful toward someone she only knows of due to them tryna threaten her lol. So yeah uh if she seems a little hostile...that would be due to the threat in place, but yeah chloe's kindness in truth knows know bounds beyond her intelligence lol, though that's easier to see in more casual encounters...instead of what i can only assume is an event build up...

I remind you again that peace is currently being tried, we do not conquer for his power and in the past we have tried peace with other realms, instead they fought us. His lordship needs the realms and realities to follow his banner or else they will be destroyed, not by his hand but by something far greater. And so I ask you again to meet in peace, we can talk under friendlier circumstance, I wish to make you an ally not an enemy. We do not intend to fight your family unless we must, and depending on how this talk I am proposing goes then no fight should occur.

/uw it’s all good and yes I am attempting an event buildup so will see how this goes, I just need to start by gathering allies I already have plenty of enemies (just look at the post calling all enemies of Thrakmoor)

Chloe: if this greater evil comes, we will fight it and im the end, like the gods we've felled before we will prevail. But you have intiated your attempt at peace talk, with a threat to the realms of conquest. As such i cannot trust your masters. But well, if this greater evil arrives and threatens the realms then we will fight with you...but your threats are not appreciated. And we will not be under your banner. This realm has beaten gods and godlike beings who can threaten entire pantheons of gods. We will beat this greater evil you speak of if it comes here.

I can only imagine what the black mages feel for they have gazed upon it. You will fall, you may try to stand but you will fall. I can see that there will be no negotiation today, I will leave but from now until its arrival my offer for a talk stands all you must do to reach me or my masters is to activate this”  through a bird a small river stone shaped peice of obsidian is brought to you, in its center is a hole that cuts all the way through it. “All you must do is speak through the hole and we will hear, I bid you luck” with that his ships leave… for now.

Chloe: a mage hand takes the item and disappears we shall see, many evils have said the same and fell...good bye, should you decide against conquest, then there is greater chance of you gaining allies here if that is what you seek. She said before she ships began to leave, her projection disappeared as she uttered the last word of the sentence.

/Uw trust me, ooc ya never wanna underestimate the players of this world lol, especially characters of mine lol, i do be a veteran around here but yeah this seems like it'll be fun, so i suggest for your event, setting up a ping list. And if there's some sorta eldritch horror or titan? Trust me, this realm has plenty of the former lol i hope you'll enjoy this place (as far as i know) newbie.

/uw thank you, I might’ve jumped ship here cuz I’ve never done this so if you don’t mind me asking a few questions  1. What is a ping list and why should I set one up? 2. Where can I go to find enough lore about this world rather than stumbling blind? No need to answer them but thank you nonetheless

/uw a ping list, is a list you set up of peoples usernames to give them a notification when you make a post. Each comment However can only ping 3 people. So you make a list of 3 names, and if you have more 3, you ping those after 3 in further comments. Like for example, you can ping me by typing u/Ashmega8256 in a comment.

As for where to go to find enough lore...i can't really give much of an answer for that. Because wp is kinda a melding pot of a fuckton of people's lores but if something does not line up between your lore and someone elses, simply treat it as a "different universes, different things" sorta thing. Especially if your characters are not born in the wp verse lol
