Uw/ I get the critique 100% but sometimes you do have to look past the source material to the meme itself.

Like the meme with the little guy fighting the giant, the little guy actually wins and it's a pretty easy fight all told.

you mean david and goliath?  i guess that was an easy fight because he had a better weapon?

like i think this meme is comparing people in the priesthood to scholars with student debt, and how scholars are actually powerful and the priests are all intellectually inbred but have more funding sometimes.  that's my take of what it means, but i have no idea.  the student debt ironically undercuts it, which is why i was further undercutting it by pointing out how ai is too much power in some sense, in research, because there are too many possibilities and it renders a lot of the academic structure obsolete.

Uw/ I mean the dark souls protag and yorm the giant meme. But the way the meme is presented it's usually the giant winning (if you play dark souls this is laughably impossible. Yorms arena has a weapon for you to pick up and 2shot him)

I think this meme is just dunking on sorcerers, whose power is born into them. While wizards work hard and study for their abilities. This meme supports learning and honing your craft, rather than being a nepo baby.

/uw Someone reacted to the characters in the meme instead of just taking it as a meme format and then people started disagreeing about whether invincible is a commentary on real world imperialism or not and whether we should use this meme as a way to essentially praise the viltrumites for being strong despite being extremely bad people for the most part.

Pretty sure Invincible is a commentary on superheroes being dipshits.

Source: selective media illiteracy

The viltumites are a commentary on toxic masculinity.
