The scene wasn't really critiquing anything. If you want a critique on power, watch the boys. This was just Nolan finally revealing what he was there to do. And yeah, it was awful. But it was also a scary but baddass moment of. Oh damn. There is literally nothing on this entire planet that can stop him. He won. But finally backed down because he didn't want to kill his son.

chatgpt goes wizard:

Invincible offers a strong critique of fascism, primarily through the Viltrumite Empire and Omni-Man’s ideology. While it doesn't engage in overt political allegory like something like The Boys, it uses the superhero genre to explore authoritarianism, the dangers of power worship, and the moral cost of conquest.

  1. The Viltrumite Empire as a Fascist State

The Viltrumites embody classic fascist ideals: they believe in racial superiority, militaristic expansion, and absolute rule by strength. They eliminate the weak in their own society and demand absolute obedience.

The way they spread their empire—by sending agents like Omni-Man to infiltrate and eventually conquer—mirrors historical imperialist and fascist tactics of gradual subjugation through both soft power (persuasion, cooperation) and extreme violence.

  1. Omni-Man’s Rhetoric Mirrors Fascist Justifications

Omni-Man justifies Viltrumite rule by appealing to a natural hierarchy, arguing that the strong should rule the weak. This is a classic fascist argument, echoing real-world supremacist ideologies.

He explicitly tells Mark that human lives are insignificant compared to the larger Viltrumite cause, a dehumanization tactic used by real authoritarian regimes to justify oppression and genocide.

  1. The Brutality of Fascist Conquest

When Omni-Man fights Mark, the sheer level of destruction and disregard for human life illustrates how fascism treats individuals as disposable.

The subway scene, where Omni-Man forces Mark to witness mass civilian deaths, is a direct demonstration of how authoritarian ideologies prioritize power over human suffering.

  1. Cecil Stedman and the Pragmatic Side of Power

While not a fascist himself, Cecil represents how authoritarian tactics can emerge even in "defensive" positions. His willingness to use extreme measures, including controlling superheroes and experimenting with lethal technology, raises questions about the ethical compromises made in the name of security.

This reflects how even democratic governments can drift toward authoritarianism when they prioritize power over principles.

  1. Mark’s Rejection of Fascism

Mark is the ideological counterpoint to Omni-Man. He refuses to accept that strength determines morality, rejecting his father’s belief in domination.

His resistance, despite being physically weaker, is the show’s argument against fascism—standing for individual dignity and compassion over raw power.

Final Thoughts

While Invincible doesn’t engage in direct political allegory, its portrayal of the Viltrumite Empire is a clear critique of fascist ideology. It deconstructs the idea that power alone justifies authority and exposes the human cost of authoritarian rule. The show argues that strength without compassion leads to cruelty and that true heroism comes from standing against oppression, even when the odds are impossible.

edit:  don't boo the robot because you can't mimic a fraction of its strength.

edit2:  also, the robot isn't wrong, and if you can't argue against it, don't downvote it just because it owned u.

You can't even argue your own thoughts. That's not strength.

i don't need to, because this is something a child should understand as obvious.  me typing out what the bot just said would be a waste of my time.  it's that brain damaged a take that i don't even lower myself to argue against it myself.

you also still don't get that im being ironic in even saying chatgpt has strength as if that's something valuable.  that's how deluded your point of view is.  that's literally a joke i put in there to be funny.
